22 year old and treated like a child an advice.?
So heres my situation, I am 22 almost 23 in 2 weeks, I am currently taking classes at the local community college and working part-time. I have looked and applied for many full-time jobs around my area, but the job market doesnt seem to be hiring. I have an associates in General Studies also, i still live with my parents. I am epileptic, therefore I take medicine and must have heath care when i do move out. That is the only thing stopping me. I was dating this person for about ten months and we took a break because my parents wouldnt let me go out and see them or my friends it got aggravating and just needed a break. Though I still am in love with this person and I know she loves me too. My parents dont like any of my friends or her. They are not drug users , alcoholics or break the law or anything bad. They are good people but b/c some of them have short hair ( yes i am a lesbian as they are) they think they are weird and bc one day i wasnt allowed to come out and it got frustrating my gf at the time was angry and said she wanted to hit my parents for sayin something to me I believe it was something to do with me being a disappointment to the family. Everyone says things they dont mean when they are angry, upset or sad. As I witnessed with my father a few days ago. In the end I am 22 going on 23 I have to ask to go somewhere no matter what time it may be. If I want to hang out with my former gf which we are not together but yet we are still I have to lie or I have to make some really good argument. my parents are moving therefore since i wasnt able to find a full-time job i must move to with them. Ugh. I love this girl up here i dont know if I could love anyone else how much i love her i cry when i think about leaving and how my parents treat me and her. I know she loves me too, she has told me this and she will break down when somethin about me leaving comes up. She is a good person, the just dont want to get to know her or my friends. She is an introvert and you have to talk to her an open her up. Today I got home from a weekend with my friends ( how i got out was lucky) and seeing my birthday is in a couple weeks i was given a concert ticket to see my favorite band for christmas, which it will be on my birthday. Now I have to travel down to NC ( bc of a doc appt.which is about 2 hrs away then come back but my mom is just like " dont be surprised about the concert (which she has known about for over a month) play it by ear cause of the weather and going back an forth. ( i dont drive yet b/c of my epilepsy) I know my mom to well, she says about the weather which is a good reason but she truthfully just doesnt want me to go. She had no problem with it when i have mentioned in the past but she waits 2 weeks b4 to say something. I have friends who will pick me up and take me home its not like they have to take me anywhere but yet they assume I will babysit my little brother who is 5 with out asking i love him and i will babysit but sometimes i wish they would ask and i could have some freedom. I feel like Im 12 and I have to ask mommy and daddy what i can do. . I mean I wasnt home but 10 min and my mom started in on me. I know its their house their rules which i try to abide by but that also means i never get to go out, or have people over. I sit in the house on the comp., doing extra homework, cleaning or occasionally watching tv so i wont have them yell at me but anything i do whether i am in my room " what are you doing?? or " Where are you going if im going upstairs ... and so on. I just wish I had some freedom and independence by the time my 2 older cousins were my age they were engaged about to get married. Out on their own and had freedom. What do I do. I need health cre to move out but thats what i want to do. any advice am I in the wrong or what do i do? HELP!!!

Stay or go?
Let me start by saying that Im sorry this is going to be so long. My husband and I started dating in 1999. We were 18. He was kind of a bad boy type, which I liked (being a teenager). He had a few minor scrapes with the law (license revoked for unpaid speeding tickets, shop lifting, etc.) Over the years we settled into a routine. I went to Nursing school. Ive had a steady job since 2000. Hes always had a difficult time keeping a job (for different reasons). In 2006, he had a steady job, which hed had for about 6months, he had a probationary driving license. I thought things were looking up. In 8/06 we got married. In 10/06 he lost his drivers license again for speeding. In 2/07 he lost his job (he work as a nursing assistant in home health and could no longer drive to the patients houses). I graduated from rn school in 12/06. So pretty much Ive been soley supporting us since 2/07. Hes had a few little (couple of hours a week) jobs here and there. The financial strain is wearing on our relationship. He cant get his license back until 2010, and living in the country, no public transportation. I work 3rd and 12 hr shifts, so I really cant take him. We get in terrible arguments, Im so fed up with everything. I just want a normal marriage, I want to be his partner, not his mother. Hes finally started cleaning up the house when Im at work. I had to nag and nag (his words), but now hes doing in own his own. It got so bad at one point that he cheated on me once, he said it was due to being unhappy and feeling like I didnt find him attractive. Our sex life is maybe 2xmonth. I found on the internet where hed put personal ads up about 5 months ago, when confronted hed said that he didnt do anything, he just wanted to feel like someone wanted him. I was mad as hell because I found where hed sent pics of his penis to some girls, one of which Ive had over at the house and thought that I could trust her. I know I cant say nothing, because I havent felt romantic with him in awhile. Sometimes I just regret ever getting married. But weve been together 10 years, isnt that to long to be talking about a divorce? But what if in 2010, things dont change? What if I have to carry him forever? My resentment is starting to be horrible, I cant even watch a love movie without getting disgusted. Im starting to get anxiety attacks from the stress, and in my job I cant afford to get one in a critical moment. I know he loves me, and I dont want to hurt him, Im just so confused......my credits shot because we cant pay bills, I just dont know what to do. Not to mention were not even happy romantically.
We dont have kids yet. I guess I would have left long before now, but hes actually the only person that Ive ever been with or loved, or even dated. Its so confusing, because hes affectionate and loving towards me, but basically thats all the support I get from him. I guess I know what should be done, but weve been together so long that Im scared of what life will be like on my own. Ive never been an adult on my own. and I do have low self esteem. I have a really hard time making decisions for myself. Im worried that I caused our marriage to fail. Even though a huge part of me wants to leave, Im worried that I may regret it one day.
Answer: I understand how you feel. I was in almost the same situation. You have to respect the man you married but one of the ways we women respect men is that they work. It sounds like you both suffer from low self esteem. You may be able to make it work but he needs to get it together now. Ask him if he can do this. Get an action play. Is it possible for him to go to court to get his license reinstated only to drive to work? He needs to get a job and that house better be spotless when you come home and dinner on the table until he gets a job. The question is are you willing to wait (2,3, or 6 months)? Put a time limit on the goals. You may need to move closer to the city so he can walk, ride a bike, car pool to work. Are you willing to suffer longer and give him one last chance? This may work but you are also still acting like his mother which is a total turn off. If he starts acting like a man you may be able to forgive him. If he doesn't make a quick change you will end up hating him. You would be more than justified to leave him and it would likely hurt you both. But you would be better off without him as these child like behaviors of his are not cute anymore.

help,i have in laws from hell.?
my husband and his brother owns the house we live in.problem is their mother lives with us too and we have a baby.the mum doesnt pay any rent exept bills because she works part time.
she thinks the house is hers because she was here first before i married her son.
my husband moved back in here with me and the baby 8months ago to help his brother who had lost his job
from the day we moved in its been argument after argument ,my hubby and i have been accussed of all sorts, ffrom wanting to control the place to being selfish.
for 7months i stayed out of it but couldnt take it anymore when my brother in law told my 1year old to shut up because he wanted to watch tv.i lost it then ang got involved in the argument between him and my hubby.
from then things have gone downhill because he keeps sticking his nose in my marriage,i have had enough.i know he is jealous because he doesnt have a family of his own in his thirties and he doesnt like me because i stick up for my baby and hubby.
before i was on the scene my hubby used to do everything his family wanted, now he has me and our baby and they ddont like it.
his brother even gave him an ultimatum at one point to either kick me and the baby out or leave with us.my hubby cant leave because it will only be a matter of time before the house gets repossesed as his brother only works for an agency.
their mortgage is fixed for 5 years and they have less than 2years to go before they can sell it and they both cant afford to buy each other out.
my hubby doesnt know what to do anymore because everyday he gets reminded of how their mum gave up her box room for the baby but i dont really think they are being fair.they are always complaining.
they were much happier when my husband moved in with me before we married and continued paying the mortgage and bills including council tax.they are so impossible i dont know what to do because what they are doing isnt good for my hubbys health,he has high blood pressure and their actions makes it worse,he is scared of anything happening to him and leaving his son without a dad.
please help.
Answer: Your husband needs to tell them "Either I stay here and pay my half of the mortgage and you respect my wife and child, or I leave and stop paying my half the mortgage and the house goes back to the bank." Sounds like they need him more than he needs them.
