Rick Perry to do "very nicely" as a presidential candidate. But Trump stopped short of endorsing Perry and said he hasnt ruled out running for president himself as an independent. In an interview with The Associated Press, Trump said Perry was a welcome entry in the GOP field that includes former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann. Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll Saturday, the same day Perry announced he too would seek the partys nomination to challenge President Barack Obama in 2012. "I think Rick Perry is a real positive. Nobody can predict outcomes, but I think he will do very nicely," Trump said. "We need someone in this country who is willing to shake things up." Trump, a multimillionaire reality show host, flirted publicly with joining the Republican presidential field before opting out of the race in May. He had gained considerable attention by stirring renewed controversy over President Barack Obamas Hawaii birth, leading the White House to persuade the state to release a copy of Obamas long-form birth certificate after two years of dismissing the issue. On Tuesday, Trump said he would still consider running next year as an independent if he doesnt believe the candidate who wins the GOP nomination is strong enough to beat Obama. Would an endorsement by Trump for Newt help Romney?

It is said that Donald Trump will Endorse Newt for President. Does that help or hurt Newt because now you have two arrogant people with failed marriages meaning Newt and The Donald together at least in their thinking. I knew Trump would endorse Newt because he has thin skin and it bothered him when no one accepted his debate forum accept Newt and I think one or two orhers but not Mitt. What say you? Elliott: It was stupid of Romney to say that because the media is using it against him and so will his opponents. But what he said was " I am not concerned with the very rich they can take of themselves and I am not concerned with the very poor " because they have safety nets and if there are holes in the nets we will fix them, my concern is with the middle class". What he was saying about the poor is true they have all kinds of social programs to help them and like he said if something is not working right in the system he will fix them. Other then the stupid statement what is wrong with that?
