Now I was emptied of any feelings. A few months ago I was sinking into day-dreams full of desire... I had a need to see him, to hear him, to talk to him. Not now. It was as if I had been tired of these feelings, drained out of all energy for this desire. Tired and fed up. If I had been next to him now, I wouldn’t have been able to talk to him, I would have probably curled up like a cat when she needs sleep and put my tired self to sleep. It was strange for me to realize I was feeling nothing at all. I was too tired even to think about him during the day. In a way I felt a little disgusted with myself above all. How could I say such things, how could I behave in such a way, how could I accept to spend time with him? I couldn’t remember. It was someone else who did all those things, not me. In the meantime I had become someone else and perhaps it was a good excuse to move on and leave everything behind. Feelings, memories, man and all. I had known for about a year now about his dark past. A past he had been hiding from me. I never cared about that really, in a couple of months I had discovered everything anyway... But I felt I could forgive everything and even did that. I pretended not to known anything and excused all his lies. I never brought up my knowledge of his dark past. I thought it would have been embarrassing to him and maybe it would have ruined everything we had for over one year... I could not feel any jealousy, as I was analysing myself. I didn’t care about his former flames. All that mattered to me was the here and now, no matter how little it lasted. I had no pretense for it to last long... ...And now... where was it all? All the feelings which have made me feel alive? Perhaps I only needed to take a break from it all and then resume it.
Answer: I think it is very sad...One cannot change the past. The future one can.

A man walks into a bar for a pub lunch. As hes drinking his pint, waiting for his food a young gentlemen walks in and sits with him. After ordering a drink, they begin to talk. Mid-conversation the man hears a beeping sound. The man, confused, asks where the sound is coming from. The gentlemen, smiling, pulls up the sleeve of his shirt and shows a small screen in his arm, saying, "OH, I went to Japan earlier this year and got a pager fitted into my arm." As they resume talking, a second man walks into the bar, and after ordering a drink, joins in the conversation. After a few minutes, teh first man notices a ringing noise. "Can you hear that?" The new gentlemen opens his palm, and then proceeds to talk into his thumb. The first man, very confused, asks what he is doing. The new guy says, "Oh, i went to Japan a few months ago and got a phone fitted into my hand. Sweet aint it!" At this point, the first gentlemen felt a little left out, and excused himself to the loo. After about an hour, the other too began to worry. They decided to wander into the toilets and check-up on him. On entering the toilets, they saw him naked, hand up against the wall, with toilet paper sticking out his bum. The man turns around and says "Hey, Ill be one sec. Im just recieveing a fax!"

Can someone give me advice on becoming a p/t professor?

I am a 41 year old man with over 20 years of management experience and I just completed my MBA. I have always wanted teach some basic business courses at a local community college, but I have no teaching experience at all. However, one of my greatest strengths is teaching/training in the work place. I have sent a few resumes out, but did not hear anything back. What can I do to gain some teaching experience or show a college that I am the right candidate?
Answer: Continue sending out resumes. Contact the colleges several weeks after the the resumes have been sent. Colleges are notorious for not answering unsolicited job applications./

What is the dumbest thing you have seen on the web?

Back in 1996, a man with several college degrees, built a wesite. I didnt know him then. The site was a resume for him. On his main page he put his Social Security Number. Last year he came into Geocities Help Chat (no longer exists) and asked me how he could login to his old pre-yahoo account and delete his Social Security Number off of his page. In April 1999 Yahoo bought out Geocities. Yahoo gave you a 90 day grace period to reclaim those old accounts or be locked out of them forever. You could visit them but not login anymore. After laughing out loud for 2 minutes I told him that that was the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. He said he knew that but wanted to get in. I told him there was no way even if he offered Yahoo money. He asked when the account would be deleted by Yahoo. I said well its been there 10 years now so I wouldnt count on it happening anytime soon. He said what do id now. I told him it seemed to me like his only choice would be to change his name and get a new number. But that would mess him up when it was time to retire. Its no wonder people lose their identity everyday. :))
Answer: That is pretty dumb. I can think of about a million things like people not thinking that things are traceable back to them and also writing up the most pathetic things on their myspace pages. Also, some people on here are pretty dumb. I like your picture.

The one that happened last night on ABC 20/20. Very interesting stuff. Charlie looks worn out and broken as a person. You can see it on his face. I hope he gets it together. I just heard the cops came and took his kids due to a custody battle. I also hope the show Two and a Half Men resumes too lol.
Answer: Charlie is a dumbass who's gonna die soon if he doesn't get his sh*t together. The man makes $2 million an episode for Two and a Half Men but messes it up for hard drugs and hoes. Unbelievable. And I heard he beat up Denise Richards last Christmas, and he obviously doesn't care for his children (but yet again that's the hard drugs for ya). But why he even started is beyond me. What I also hate is the media always talking about him. Trying to make money and a mockery off of this story. I bet if he dies they'll be the first to say "Oh we knew this was coming" yada yada yada. Like their lives are so effing perfect. The whole situation in general f*cking sucks and I hope he stops that bullcrap or else he goes in the grave. He's probably damaged himself already and probably won't live as long as he could have if he wouldn't have started drugs and drinking. @sshole.

Im 15 and Im just wondering whether or not Id still be living to see men go to space again :) I was kind of sad to hear that the Space Shuttle program was cut, but I suppose they know best. I understand that you cant give me an exact answer, but if you could kind of estimate, that would be lovely :) All Im really wondering is do you think Ill be alive to see another manned space flight?
Answer: The US will be hitching rides on the Russian Soyuz for a few years. After that, there's one NASA and three commercial capsule due to be flying. You should see some of them going around 2014.

A man walks into a bar for a pub lunch. As hes drinking his pint, waiting for his food a young gentlemen walks in and sits with him. After ordering a drink, they begin to talk. Mid-conversation the man hears a beeping sound. The man, confused, asks where the sound is coming from. The gentlemen, smiling, pulls up the sleeve of his shirt and shows a small screen in his arm, saying, "OH, I went to Japan earlier this year and got a pager fitted into my arm." As they resume talking, a second man walks into the bar, and after ordering a drink, joins in the conversation. After a few minutes, teh first man notices a ringing noise. "Can you hear that?" The new gentlemen opens his palm, and then proceeds to talk into his thumb. The first man, very confused, asks what he is doing. The new guy says, "Oh, i went to Japan a few months ago and got a phone fitted into my hand. Sweet aint it!" At this point, the first gentlemen felt a little left out, and excused himself to the loo. After about an hour, the other too began to worry. They decided to wander into the toilets and check-up on him. On entering the toilets, they saw him naked, hand up against the wall, with toilet paper sticking out his bum. The man turns around and says "Hey, Ill be one sec. Im just recieveing a fax!"

Are men really more likely to get chosen for a job where they dont have the required qualifications?

I hear some women complaining that sometimes the less qualified male still gets chosen for the job. How do these women know the man is less qualified in the first place? Have they read their job resume? Or maybe the interviewer knows men are less likely to write about little feats on their resume than women. Or maybe the inerviewer assumed men are better wokers, just like men get higher car insurance because it is assumed they are more aggessive drivers? What do you think? Ceegt are you blind. Read the fin details instead of just screaming a random answer. R we are not here to tell personal stories. I also have no idea what you are talking about, your story is confusing and makes no sence whatsoever.
Answer: I actually believe otherwise. At places around here, a woman is more likely to get a better beginning position than a man. For example, at a grocery store nearby, they'll hire a woman right into the cashier position but tell the men they are going to start them at bagger and they can earn the cashier position. Both candidates have equal/no experience.

Does anyone have this problem with a Fisher &Payker washer?

I own a Fisher and Paykel Intuitive ECO asher that is 7 month old. Just yesturday it started having a problem, every 5 min. it beeps and display on the menu that that "Powers Cut Restart in 10 seconds" . It does restart and resume were it has left off, It happen during every cycle. I call the company and that said it is not a problem that they had heard of happening. They gave me local service people to take a look at it. Then informed me that with it beening a new model that many service man in the U.S.A have worked on these machine. Fisher and Paykel are a Australia based compancy and are new the United States. I love the machine and all the futures. Hope I can get it to work right. Husband did not want to buy it becaues he said it was too fancy and something was going to broke. I have to prove him wrong because I told him in the store that they were out of rocks and washboards, and I wanted the best. Hope I can get some help ! Thank you!
Answer: I called the 800 number that is listed for Fisher/Paykel. She said to check the power connection. Also make sure the power cord is not bent or kinked. Make sure the outlet is properly grounded. TRY ANOTHER OUTLET(may have to use a heavy-duty extension cord to get to another outlet if another one is not close). She said if that does not help, call for service. I have a Fisher/Paykel washer also, but not your model. GOOD LUCK!

What evidence is admissable in a restraining order hearing? SERIOUS domestic violence issues?

This has been the longest 4 days in the history of time for me!! My dearest friend is in turmoil. She was recently granted a protection from abuse order for both herself and her son against her ex husband, as the ex did not show up for his hearing. The ex has since requested a new hearing, or to vacate the order stating that she made up all the abuse alleged. In his affidavit he states that A, He never contacted her except via email, and that all his emails were respectful, and any bad ones she clearly forged. B. He has never been convicted of domestic abuse C. The only reason she got the order was to block him from access to his son My friend and I have now gathered the following 1. All of her phone bills from the last year detailing hundreds of phone calls and text messages coming from him 2. A copy of his court records from his 2 assault convictions on her, and a letter from his former probation officer. 3. ALL of the emails in the past where he was either abusive, threatening, or simply just cancelling his visitation 4. A timeline of times where he would set up a meeting time, and then not show up to pick up his son, and then harass her via phone and text. This is backed up by the phone records 5. Notorized letters from witnesses, detailing the exs repeated no shows, and how he has in fact not shown up for a visitation in over a year. 6. An email from the ex himself, saying his reasons for not taking time with his son was due to money (then he asked to borrow money) 7. A statement from her husband, who had worked to reintagrate the special needs child with his father, the husband witnessed the ex husnband verbally and physically abuse the child 8. Documentation from childs therapists detailing the results of said abusive acts 9. Letter from Childrens services stating that they "substantiate physical abuse" with the ex husband as being the perpatrator 10. A letter from the Domestic Violence services group that helped her with shelter and safe planning 3 years ago supporting continued protection from this man. FYI, the abuse and harassment resumed as soon as the first order expired. My friend did not make it to court to get it renewed as she was in the hospital delivering a baby. I know I am beating this issue to death, but her son is autistic, and her ex is vile to him. Shaking him for exhibiting repetitive movements, and calling him "retard" and "freak". This man has beaten her physically, mentally, and her spirit is almost gone. Please, someone tell me this man will not stand a chance. Does he stand a chance of getting this order vacated? The other issue is even if he gets another hearing date, she cannot go as her work has her travelling during the week for the next 4 months. I think I am lookign for reassurance, and guidance, and prayers Its not that she just cant get a day off, she has already TAKEN a week off for this just a month ago, and her ex did not bother to show for the first hearing. At this point, she has burned any and all time she has, and she is buried. How can her ex just fail to show for a hearing, and then get another one? It is obvious he is just using this as another control tool
Answer: Let the Judge review everything you have gathered. Any forms of contact are admissible, to the best of my knowledge. There may be an exception with audio recordings, but that should be left up to the Judge (if it is clear who the parties are in the recording, if he admits it is his voice, and especially if it is a 911 dispatch recording, etc., there should not be a problem). Of course, it is ultimately up to the Judge after review of all the facts and evidence to renew the order, but I do not see that happening if she does not make herself available to be present at the hearing, or at a minimum hires an attorney. She is requesting the Court issue an order of such a serious nature and cannot make herself available because of 'work' does not make sense to me, no matter the reason. Tell your friend to talk to her employer ... as serious as her situation sounds, she really must attend the hearing. If she absolutely cannot work it out, she needs to seek the advice of an attorney. An attorney may be able to get the hearing rescheduled (highly unlikely the Court can/will set it out 4 months just to accommodate her 'work' schedule though), or make arrangements for her to appear by telephone (not sure the Judge would agree to this considering the nature of this matter). .

See many companies on the net that offer back ground checks....are any of them worth the money ? Have a young female relative who has married a man from Calif. who is showing signs he is an abuser...grabbed her arm hard enough to leave a deep bruise....also has problem with booze and has racked up a couple of DUI`s in 2 states. BUT ..he just received a Top Secret Clearance on his job ! Is there areas of his life that would not have been deeply delved into before he rec`d this clearance.?..have copy of his resume and DD214 and have heard his story... but something is hinky about this man.....and as there are also children involved in the house hold , our concerns are doubled...she is already into the...he didn`t mean to and said was sorry...Suggestions please ?
Answer: The only TRUE "criminal history" is that received from the FBI's NCIC. The myriad of "background checks" available on the internet are not truely worth the effort or money although they may provide SOME information. Problem is...do you have the right person identified?! You may be able to research better yourself by contacting the court clerks office and obtain any information through the Freedom of Information Act or by simply stating that you have an interest in the individual on a personal matter. It sounds to me as if you already have a substantial amount of information already and would most likely be readily accepted from his place of employment should they be concerned enough about his off-duty activities that may affect his work performance or character.
