What do you think is my best course of action (regarding pet rats) 10 pts. best answer!?
Please bear with the long question- I feel that it is necessary to know the whole story :) So Im a huge animal lover, and Ive wanted a dog since I can remember. Im not one of those people who looks up a few articles online and declares myself educated enough to take proper care of a dog, but I have been researching for years. Ive looked through so many articles, signed out tons and tons of library books (all the books on Shelties they had), joined multiple forums and spoken to people who owned these dogs, searched up training centers and breeders in my area, etc. But I have come to the conclusion that I will have to wait until I finish University, get a house, job, etc. to get a dog since it will be my responsibility and when I go through Uni I wont have enough time.
Last September I convinced my mom to let me have a hamster, seeing them as a reasonable pet to ask for because of their small size and relatively easy care. She isnt and never was a rodent person, so it took a lot of hard work to convince her, but I did. She really does not like my hamster, though :P I spend so much time and basically ALL my money on her, her cage takes up a lot of space in our living room (nowhere else to put it), and I always used to nag her to go to pet stores since that is my favorite place to be and I love to buy things for my hammie (I dont nag her anymore about that tho). A few months ago, I discovered the wonderful joy of pet rats. After doing a lot of reading on them, I really want 2! They are absolutely perfect. They are basically mini dogs, but are less expensive and are easier to care for which will let me have time to do my homework and other duties. I have secretly been researching them, putting together essays, powerpoints, and other various persuasion techniques. Ive been saving up all my money in a secret "rat fund" and my goal is $1000 dollars ($500 for rats and supplies and $500 for a vet fund, which will be added to often). I currently have $450, but all I get for christmas is money, so Ill have at least $750 dollars after Christmas- which I think is a pretty decent amount. The cage I want (either double or single critter nation) will either cost $190 or $275 dollars, and about $100-$200 dollars or so more for supplies and the rats. The thing is- I have my hammy still. And she is here with me to stay until her end, and I would never give her up or anything. I was planning to ask for rats when we move out, we will have more room for a rat cage and I wont have a hamster, which will increase the chance of my mom saying yes (dont get me wrong- its not like Im looking forward to my hamster passing away, im just thinking realistically, shes almost 2 years old and they dont usually live past 3 years) but that will be another 2-3 years at the least, and Im just so sick and tired of waiting. I had to wait almost a year for my hamster (secretly researched and raised money for 8 months) and I researched Shelties for sooo long and I now will have to wait at least 10 years, its just disheartening to have to wait many more years for my dream pet if I will have everything I need in a matter of months.
Should I ask at around Christmas? Should I wait a few years until we move out and I am animal free (my mom doesnt want a "zoo"-pffft)? PS: Im 13- a good student who never gets in trouble (im quite shy so I dont really talk much lol...) I have the perfect amount of space for the cage in my room . One of my main concerns is that the noise of the rats will keep me and my mom (who sleeps right across the hall awake (she made me move my hamsters cage downstairs because we couldnt sleep with all the rattling). That is one of the reasons it would be good to wait until we moved somewhere else where I could put the cage somewhere other than my room, but Ive heard people say that rats wont keep you awake (I want 2 males), any other opinions on this? Oh and I will have time for both my hamster and 2 rats, and I want to be a vet.
Buying a dog right now would not be responsible nor fair to the dog. Think about it- im the main caretaker, i walk the dog, groom the dog, everything. Dogs live a long time- over 10 years. In a few years, i will have to go off to Uni. I wont have time to care for the dog, and it would be unfair for the dog to be thrown from home to home. Plus, were not in the financial situation for a dog- its way more than just $1000 dollars.

Story in a National Newspaper
Will we still be the Country of choice and still be Gt Britain if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in Britain because it is the Country of Choice??????
Think about it . .
All I have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS? I celebrate Christmas, but because it isnt celebrated by everyone, we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be Seasons Greetings. Its not Christmas holiday, its Winter Break. Isnt it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday? Weve gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that.
This says it all!
This is an editorial written by an
British citizen, published in a
National newspaper He did quite a job; didnt he? Read on, please!
IMMIGRANTS,
NOT BRITS MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on the 7th of the 7th we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits. However, the disgust about the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain, Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. (The Danes, Romans etc.) However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of the Brits being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britains we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Indian, Urdu, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! "Land of Hope & Glory" is our motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.
If the Union Jack flag offends you, or you dont like our QUEEN, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really dont care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our Laws give every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our lifestyle our government, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great BRITISH freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
It is Time for Gt. Britain to Speak up
If you agree -- pass this along;
if you dont agree -- delete it!

AMEN
I think if we all keep passing this to our friends it will also, sooner or later get back to the complainers,
lets all try please.

Was it a smart move for the NFL to broadcast the NE Vs NYG game all over the USA?
NEW YORK (AP) -- After weeks of insisting they wouldnt cave in, NFL officials did just that Wednesday. Now all of America can see the Patriots shot at history.
Saturday nights game between New England and the New York Giants on the NFL Network, which is available in fewer than 40 percent of the nations homes with TVs, will be simulcast on CBS and NBC.
The Patriots could become the first NFL team to go 16-0 in the regular season.
"We have taken this extraordinary step because it is in the best interest of our fans," commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement after the league announced it was reversing course. "What we have seen for the past year is a very strong consumer demand for NFL Network. We appreciate CBS and NBC delivering the NFL Network telecast on Saturday night to the broad audience that deserves to see this potentially historic game. Our commitment to the NFL Network is stronger than ever."
NFL Network spokesman Seth Palansky said officials would have no further comment Wednesday.
The NFL had claimed that the onus of making the game widely available fell on the major cable providers with which the league has bitterly feuded. Companies such as Comcast and Time Warner have declined to carry the network as part of basic packages.
But lawmakers have pressured the NFL to ensure more viewers could see the game. Last week, two prominent members of the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Goodell threatening to reconsider the leagues antitrust exemption.
Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., who co-wrote the letter with Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said he was "delighted" by the NFLs concession.
"I think it was a smart move on their part," he said in a phone interview.
Leahy expected to speak with Goodell again next month about the ongoing question of how many fans will be able to see games on the channel. Saturdays matchup wraps up the NFL Networks second season of airing live contests, with eight per year. This one and a key Thursday night game between Green Bay and Dallas last month drew widespread complaints about the lack of availability.
"I never completely gave up hope, but I was getting a little discouraged Christmas afternoon when we still had not gotten a positive answer," said Leahy, who added that his staff members were talking with NFL officials during the holiday.
Local TV affiliates in the Boston, Manchester, N.H., and New York areas that were already set to simulcast the game under NFL policy will still air it. That means viewers in those markets will have four channels to choose from if they get NFL Network.
That did not make officials at WWOR in New York happy.
"The NFL is in clear violation of their agreement with WWOR/My9," the station said in a statement. "We fully expect the league to honor their commitment to My9 as the exclusive free over-the-air broadcaster for Saturdays telecast of the New England Patriots at New York Giants game."
Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., who had urged cable and NFL executives to settle the dispute, had a much more positive reaction to the leagues announcement.
"I couldnt be more thrilled that as the Patriots rush toward an historic undefeated season, football fans everywhere have won a victory of their own," Kerry said. "With todays announcement, the NFL showed their loyalty to the sports fans who made the NFL an empire in the first place.
"The best news of all is that now no die-hard Pats fans will be shut out from watching their team take aim at football history," Kerry said in a statement.
This will be the first three-network simulcast in NFL history and the first simulcast of an NFL game since the inaugural Super Bowl in 1967, when CBS and NBC televised the meeting of the champions of the newly merged National Football League and American Football League.
"Were happy to accommodate the NFLs request for a joint national simulcast of this potentially historic game to make it available to the widest possible audience," said Dick Ebersol, NBC Universals chairman for sports and Olympics.
NBC was scheduled to air "Dateline NBC" and a repeat of "Law & Order: SVU" during the time slot. CBS was set to broadcast the movie "Good Night, and Good Luck" and "48 Hours: Mysteries."
Answer: The cable licenses are under the purview of the federal government and there were Senators and Representatives bringing heat on the NFL to work out a deal to get the game over regular channels. Though it may seem like a PR move for the NFL, this was a situation that could have gotten very hot for them in Washington, D.C.
If this is the first step to prod the league and cable outlets to have the NFL Network available in all available packages, then it a great job. If not, then this controversy will continue again next year...with the great football fans being left out in the cold.

Elf on the Shelf Becomes Nation Wide Holiday Hit
"Seeing how the movie Elf did, we knew there was a market there, so it was just a matter of time before a company came along to capitalize on Santas helpers." Will it join the compendium of American holiday traditions? It is hard to say. Not everyone is a fan.
If you could have one “Political Christmas wish” come true, what would you wish for?
I would wish for the end of Political Partisanship in the U.S.A. – no more infighting between Parties, everyone would do what’s best for their Nation and not their so-called “Party”.
I asked this question earlier for the morning crew, but you guys were still sleeping.
(If this question / answer somehow upsets you, please ignore it and move on.)
Answer: My political Christmas wish is this, "I wish the extreme elements in both parties would disappear in pixie dust."

Santa or Satan? 10 points for best answer?
What we know of Santa
1. He wears Red. Most people know how Santa became red. How did he get to become red well it was a massive campaign by Coca-Cola simply to popularised the depiction of Santa as wearing red. (and for all the Islamic readers Coca-Cola logo spun upsidedown left to right and read in arabic rights There is no Muhammad there is no Mecca). So why would a Masonic company be interested in someone like Santa?
Before the 1900s Santa Claus was still called Saint Claus or Saint Nicolas, depending on the nation you came from. Coca-Cola shortened it to Santa to give it a nicer sound. Santa and Satan have the same letters. Now you’re thinking it’s just a coincidence but a company who puts a religious derogatory message in their own logo will easily have thought of Santa and Satan.
Other points include - He comes on Christmas Eve and is called "Father Christmas". Or “Father of Christ". So now it’s an attack on all religions who believe in Jesus. Islam teaches that Jesus was a prophet of Allah and he had no father. He also takes away from the belief in Jesus in many ways.
Look Christmas is not wrong, we should also celebrate the birth of a great prophet as well, but celebrating Christmas for Santa is stupid.
Ill give you more proof of Santa,
To millions he is the most venerated and adored person in the world.
Churches host parties featuring him. Even in Turkey Santa (Noel Baba) comes every year
Parents speak of his exploits
Children long his arrival
Children pray to him
Children seek his blessing and favour
He resides in a place that no man can live (North Pole)
He travels at night (in darkness he comes and not the light)
His chariot is drawn by magical beasts (Reindeers)
Magical beings that we can not see are his helpers (Elves)
He Judges the good and the bad
He writes their names in a book
As we know he wears Red – Satanic Colours
When he comes he descends through the FIRE PLACE
To celebrate his coming we put a star (Started with a six pointed star but now its irrelevant) on top of a tree. (Star of Israel)
Saint Nicholas was the patron of THIEVES
So where did Saint Klaus come from? He was Saint Nicholas the one who was most nearly in accord with the dim traditions of Saturn as the hero of the “Saturnalia”.
Worldbook Encyclopaedia writes “The belief that Santa enters the house through the chimney developed by an old Norse legend. The Norse believed that goddess Hertha appears in the fireplace and brought good luck into the home”……
Also it states “Druid homeowners would leave a treat consisting of milk and pastries to appease this GOD who came down the chimney into their fireplace.”
But WHO is he?
Oxford English Dictionary states about the word “DEVIL” “Besides the name Satan, he is also called Beelzebub, Lucifer and in popular rustic speech by many familiar terms as OLD NICK.”
So the similarities of OLD NICK is another name for Devil or Nicholas.
Its actually factual that Jesus could not be born on December 25th cause he wasn’t born in Winter. In fact Before 1751 Christmas and New Years was celebrated on March 25th. The move was to align Jesus with the other pagan and Egyptian Gods such as Mithra, Krishna and Horus
The holiday of Christmas (the DECEMEBER 25th Christmas) is actually the celebration of the Roman holiday Saturnalia
Santa Claus is a direct depiction of the Greek God “Saturn” and a German God named “Odin”
Let your kids enjoy Christmas. But do not promote Santa Claus
What do you think?
Best answer gets 10 points.
Answer: Most of the answers you'll get here will be from skeptics because they're too blind and too scared to accept the truth. Most of the things you said made perfect sense to me. I was never a fan of a fat-a-s-s sneaking in our houses. F=uk his lame gifts. We can afford our own stuff.

Do you still consider yourself a devout Christian even if you celebrate Christmas as it is this day?
Peace be unto you all. I understand that everyone practices their religion to a certain degree and of course we are all free to do this. I am only directing this question at those of you who truly wish to serve God the way that He asks us to.
This is the basis of my question:
Deuteronomy 12:30-32
29 The Lord your God will cut off before you the nations you are about to invade and dispossess. But when you have driven them out and settled in their land, 30 and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, "How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same." 31 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.
32 See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.
It is clear from these verses that God wants us to BE CAREFUL not to take up traditions that were practiced by pagans. Pagans celebrated a holiday on December 25th. In Rome, the festivities of Saturnalia were around this time. The 25th was actually the birthday of Mithra, the son of god who was god incarnate, according to Mithraisms beliefs. In Egypt, December 25th was the birthday of Horus, the son of the goddess Isis.
We know that Jesus (pbuh) birthday was not in the winter (Luke 2:8). So isnt celebrating his birthday on this date doing the same things that pagans did to worship their gods and exactly what the Lord instructs us not to do?
There is more scripture that condemns the Christmas holiday as it is this day:
Jeremiah 10:2-4
2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Here, thousands of years before we have Christmas trees, there is an adequate description of a Christmas tree. Many people say that this is different because these people worshipped them as idols. I say, be reasonable.
The Lord instructs us, "Learn not the way of the heathen." If these heathens cut down tress, brought them into their houses, fixed them on a stand, and decorated them with silver and gold, then have we not "learned their ways" by doing the same thing? And on the same token, celebrating a holiday on the same day, and in the same ways (carrolling, mistletoe, Yule logs were all pagan practices during these celebrations)- isnt this learning their ways as well?
Again, this question is only toward those of you who are truly religious and truly wish to serve God the way He asks us to. Are we not disobeying Gods commands by partaking in this holiday? Wouldnt you rather please God then follow human traditions? I am not trying to insult anyone and i am truly curious as to your thoughts on the matter. Peace be unto you all.
@ Smith- Im guessing you skipped the details of the question?
@pressagio- please notice in the New Testament Matthew 19:16-17
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
17 "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments."
Jesus (pbuh) tells us to keep the commandments, which means follow the laws of the Old Testament. Even if Jesus (pbuh) did complete the law, he did not abolish the law. Peace be unto you.
@ Ross- I follow my Lord and obey His commands because I am grateful to Him and love Him with all heart, mind and soul. He only asks us to do a few simple things in order to live righteously and I try to do them as best I can.
I am not judging anyone, I am simply curious as to other peoples lines of thinking, in regards to their understanding of the scriptures. Peace be unto you.
@Knames- I do love, respect and believe in Jesus (pbuh) as a Holy Prophet but I do not celebrate Christmas. Although my extended family does and I do go to the feasts, yet only to be around family.
It may be true that pagans did more than just that to celebrate that day however, God explicitly commands us to not take up their practices. Whether they have a different name or even represent something different, the practices are still the same.
What disheartens me is that I see a people who love God and wish to please Him, and yet " they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates," and they do this based off of human traditions rather than the commandments of God.
I believe that God is the Most Gracious, and Most Merciful and is kind and loving. Yet this should not give us the excuse, to celebrate however we see fit, especially in a way that He commands us against, if we truly respect God and truly wish to please Him. I hope this helped you to understand my point of view. Pea
@Ross- Yes Allah loves me as He loves all His creatures. We are not instructed to kill those who leave Islam.
"Let there be no compulsion in religion." The Quran 2:56
As for Jews and Christians-
"Those who believe (in the Quran), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians...and (all) who believe in God and the last day and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." The Quran, 2:62
@Ross- apostates are killed in SOME of these countries because they follow cultural traditions that have been fused with the religion in some places. If you want an example of true Islam, look at Spain in its golden age. Under Islamic rule Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived peacefully together for centuries. This was until the crusades came through and killed anyone who was not with them including some Christians. I do not use the crusades an example such as the crusades to represent all of Christianity, please do not use your example to represent Islam as a whole. Peace be unto you.
@Ross- Islam teaches us that whosoever believes in God and does right will be rewarded with Heaven. Christianity teaches, and not according to Jesus (pbuh) own words, that whoever believes that Jesus (pbuh) died for their sins will go to heaven. Any one who does not believe that, even if they believe in God and do good works will be condemned to Hell.
What does Jesus (pbuh) say is the way to Eternal Life in heaven?
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Jesus (pbuh) says it is to know God. He does not say anywhere in the whole Bible that we must believe he will die for our sins or that believe that he is god to go to Heaven. Others say this about him. Please consider this. Peace be unto you.
Answer: As a christian the date or the decor used does not matter, it is the occasion of the birth of our saviour that is infinately more important that the earthly date or the decor used.
Christ is love he is not going to condemn us for getting his birthday wrong.

You being a muslim are understandably scared of committing blasphemy, even naming a teddy mohammad could get peoples heads chopped in some islamic countries, but we christians do not follow Christ out of fear but with love.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you wrote: because I am grateful to Him and love Him with all heart, mind and soul
But does Allah love you ?
does Allah love non muslims ? answer honestly.... if yes then why are apostates of islam condemned to death under Allah's sharia laws ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you wrote: We are not instructed to kill those who leave Islam.
That is your interpretation and it does not matter, death for apostasy has been around since the time of mohammad and it is still implemented in most islamic countries, why should I accept your interpretation over that of islamic scholars in those countries ?
If you sincerely believe this is wrong then why don't you take it up with the mullahs/scholars in those countries, after all how can they get something that is a matter of life and death so wrong ?
You might actually help save lives, that would be commendable indeed !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you wrote:apostates are killed in SOME of these countries because they follow cultural traditions that have been fused with the religion in some places
On the contrary if they are not killed it is because their tradition and culture still exists, the more the degree of islamisation the greater the punishments.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you read the gospels with an open heart you will understand, does islam ask you to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you or pray for those who despise you ? No because islam is based on hatred of non muslims and the reason for this is the quran which is nothing but the lone testimony of a deluded bedouin.
Are you not disturbed that the lone testimony you believe in was written by a man who butchered thousands, sold women and children into slavery, kept slaves and concubines and slept with a 9 year old girl ?
Will your just Allah punish this man with hell?

Is it OK to celebrate the Pagan Holiday Christmas, as long as I keep it Christian?
Why does the Bible say:
"Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression" (Isaiah 58:1). and why dont I hear persons warning of this.
Why does this come as a real surprise to many. But here it is:
Jeremiah 10:2-6, "Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen. . . . For the customs of the people are vain; . . . for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and gold, they fasten it with nails and hammers, that it move not."
There is a perfect description of the Christmas tree, termed by the Eternal as "the way of the heathen—the custom of the people." We are commanded not to learn that way or follow it! It is also viewed in this passage as idolatry. The fifth verse shows that these trees cannot speak—cannot walk—must be carried. "Be not afraid of them, for they [the trees] cannot do evil neither also is it in them to do good." They are not gods to be feared. Some people misread this to make it say there is no harm in having a Christmas tree, but that is not what it says.
Deuteronomy 12:1 “These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful to observe in the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. 2 You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3 And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. 4 You shall not worship the LORD your God with such things.
do Christian people not know about this:
So some think it is OK to celebrate this Christmas Pagan Holiday, if they keep Christ in it. Christ never was in Christmas of himself, God never commanded us to worship his birth.
But what does the Bible say about worship contrary to Gods will:
Lev 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer, and put fire therein, and laid incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he had not commanded them.
Lev 10:2 And there came forth fire from before the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
So does God think it is OK to celebrate Christmas?
If you call a Copper-head snake a Bunny, it still has a deadly bite.
You can call Paganism by any name, but it is still an abomination to the Lord, when you include him in it especially.
Answer: no, it is not okay with God for christians to celebrate pagan holidays like christmas and easter just because they try to keep it christian.
no matter what christians do to pagan holidays, God is still against his people celebrating them.

Does anyone know how the Federal Reserve was first created and how it has been stealing your money ever since?
The Federal Reserve Act was passed at 11:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve, after all the opposing Senators had gone home to celebrate Christmas. Those who wanted the Federal Reserve had a quorum and passed the legislation in an unprecedented move. At the time, Congressman McFadden gave testimony in the House when he said:
"Mr. Chairman we have in this Country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks hereinafter called the Fed. The Fed has cheated the Government of these United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the Nation’s debt. The depredations and iniquities of the Fed has cost this County enough money to pay the National Debt several times over. They are not Government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers; foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers."
Show us the facts if you want to counter my revelations of the truth.
Answer: This is the second question you have asked about the Fed and once again you prove your own ignorance...........get an education you stupid kid

Obama: Our Partyboy President?
In two short years, Barack Obama has wrested the crown for most self-indulgent president from Monica Lewinsky’s ex-boyfriend, Bill Clinton.
Clinton’s most self-indulgent moment came when when he urged Lewinsky to perform oral sex on him while he took a phone call from a Congressman. However, the November 17, 1995 incident occured in private, the Congressman did not suspect anything was amiss and it was not revealed until years later as part of the Starr investigation.
Obama’s most self-indulgent moment was broadcast on national television this week when, in the midst of numerous crises crying out for American leadership, he took time to film his picks for the NCAA basketball tournament brackets for broadcast by the ESPN sports network.
This follows a two-year string of self-indulgences by Obama since he became president that has demonstrated to the world that nothing comes before Obama’s me-time.
Most famously, Obama did not interrupt his 2009 luxury Christmas vacation in Hawaii when an Islamist terrorist tried to blow a passenger jet out of the sky over Detroit on Christmas Day. Obama could barely be moved to speak to the nation about the attack which came within a failed detonator of succeeding.
Now, with the Middle East in flames and America’s closest Asian ally teetering on collapse from the triple-whammy of a 9.0 earthquake, subsequent apocalytic tsunami and multiple nuclear power plant failures, Obama has spent his time golfing, partying with the press, fundraising, hanging out with athletes, prepping for his NCAA brackets presentation and getting ready for the Obama family taxpayer funded Spring Break trip to Rio de Janeiro this weekend.
The White House Web site proudly displays Obama’s picks for the men’s and women’s tournaments. You, the U.S. taxpayer, paid for the posting and hosting of Obama’s picks in pdf format.
The posting includes Obama’s conscience-cleansing nod to Japan in his ESPN presentation.

The mother of all Christmas questions?
My roomy, (long story) her and her husband lost their son to the war on Dec. 19th. 2007 I loved their son as much as they do and we were extremely close, like he would tell me things he wouldnt tell his mom. I have the husbands backing on this. We are all very close, a family unit, but his mom just drags his death out every year.
You all need to understand that everyone loved this kid but we have moved on. Actually we have crreated a veterans organization in his memory and have dedicated it to the homeless vets we have in this nation. We are doing great things with this organization and have made great progress but his mother loves the drama. So much so that despite the drama all year, like MEGA drama, we also have lost our Christmas each year. Many of you would say how callous and shallow, but Robert LOVED Christmas, it was his thing, you know? I know he would want us to reclaim the glad tidings, do what we could for our less fortunate brothers and sisters and still find time as a family to enjoy the season.
My idea, and I swear Im channeling my boy, is to pull a total Clark Grizwold on her. Her husband is in total agreement. God knows he loved his boy, but he also knows that you cant live in the past. Its useless.
I guess my question to all of you is:
How do I implememnt the mother of all Christmases to not only heal this family but bring a smile to our faces? Just so you know, I cant help his mom because truth be told, I dont think she wants help. But isnt it possible to bring SOMETHING good back again?
Also, We are dillegently trying to maintain food, clothing and shelter for our homeless vets out here in AZ at the same time.
Anyone handing out Christmas Miracles?
Blessings to all of you who read this and fully understand that you have many wonderful things in this life.
Serena
I cant thank you enough for all your help. Just knowing that there are folks out there that have been there or cared enough to answer me, gives me renewed hope.
You guys have given me the courage to move forward and to embrace this issue. I can do this and I can make a change, for Robert, his parents and myself.
The world we live in will always be a beautiful place as long as we have folks like you in it.
Thanks everyone! :)
Answer: wow what a heart felt story i cant imagine how you must feel its a very difficult situation to be in. i understand totally how a mother would grieve for her son and want to hold on but surely to cherish his memory in any thing that he loved would benefit her more. as for how you make this happen well if you say she doesn't want help then i am afraid that you may not but if you say you have the fathers backing then hey you both have a right to deal with this in your own ways also so i would make the most of this in your own way in his memory and hopefully she will come to see that you don't have to be living in misery but in-fact you can make the memory's of him so much more special buy making the most of the things he loved.. GOD BLESS YOU ALL and my deepest sympathy is with you for your sad loss go celebrate his life!

Do You Believe This Illinois Schools Canceling Christmas and Halloween to Avoid Offending Muslims ?
Another absolutely disgusting example of pre-emptive dhimmitude, in the name of tolerance and multiculturalism, right here in the US: First Jell-O, now Santa.
So long, Halloween parade. Farewell, Santa’s gift shop.
The holiday traditions are facing elimination in some Oak Lawn schools this year after complaints that the activities are offensive, particularly to Muslim students.
Final decisions on which of the festivities will be axed will fall to the principals at each of Ridgeland School District 122’s five schools, Supt. Tom Smyth said.
Parents expect that the announcement is going to add to the tension that has been building since officials agreed earlier this month to change the lunch menu to exclude items containing pork to accommodate Muslim students. News that Jell-O was struck from the menu caused such a stir that officials have agreed to bring it back.
Gelatin is often made with tissue or bones of pigs or other animals.http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=27279_Illinois_Schools_Canceling_Christmas_and_Halloween_to_Avoid_Offending_Muslims&only
First, Muslims do not respect my feelings, nor my religion. I am offended by their demands to remove my religion from the public eye, where is the ACLU and school administrators and the goverment for me?
If this is not stopped, the next step is crosses and stars of David banned in public. It WILL happen withing 5 years unless we say “NO MORE” NOW. Then, they will have churches moved by force from near Muslim communities, and it just gets worse from there.
WE have the power to stop this. Our religion deserves as much respect and consideration as theirs, if not MORE as we are Primarily a Christian nation, and we need, as Christians, to stop letting people ban any aspect of our faith because it ‘offends” someone. We need to tell these idiotic school administrators that they need to respect the riligion of EVERYONE who attends the schools, and if they won’t, they will be removed. If even 25% of the parents of that district would put down the remote control and call the board and complain, this ban will be lifted in a big hurry.
Our Constitution has no provisions that promise anyone the freedom from being offended, and there are no provisions that cater to newly arrived immigrants and their religion. We are supposed to have a freedom of religion in this country, as given us as a natural state of mankind, but it’s being eroded everytime a Muslim uses our weakness (lberals) to eat away at our freedoms little by little, which plays into their religions agenda of conquering and converting the world.
We need to get our freedom of religion back, and stop these forces from making us ashamed/guilty/fearful of expressing, practicing and celebrating our faith in the public. There is NOTHING inherently offensive in Christmas, except to a non-believer who wishes for Christianity to be destroyed, or to an athiest who fights against faith because it attacks their inner void.
I could be angry, I could rant, but I’d rather DO SOMETHING. This could be the work of several lifetimes, for all of us, to turn the ship, but it can be done. This is OUR country, even though every day it seems like it less and less.
Answer: Unfortunately, our country has been bending over backwards for Muslims in the recent years...so I'm not too shocked that they are canceling Christmas. This is political correctness gone too far. It's appalling. We now have foot washes in airports so that Muslims can pray. Muslim workers at such places like Target refuse to handle pork (so the customer or another worker has to scan pork products). Many moderate Muslims may not be offended by Christian holidays but they do NOT speak out against the extremist Muslim groups who are trying to shut down everything related to Christianity. Silence is the same as condoning.

I need a christmas gift idea that is quick and easy to make?
yeah, so, i know im a bit behind the ball.
heres the deal. I was going to do a bread and cheese board with a first nations trout as the handle and two first nations orcas in a yin yang pattern dremmeled into the wood. at first blush, fantastic idea as my dad loves fishing and he just moved by the sea. BUT, I dremmeled for about 20 hours and didnt so much as make a dent in the project...
so, hes coming to town on the 13th so i have what? like 5 days to do something that is nice and easy to make.
in years past, my sister did a scrap book of her and mine baby pics and assorted other childhood pics, my step-brother did a cigar box... yeah, so those kinds of things.
please, any thoughts would be GREAT!
yes, i realise im a bit late. other things happened over the holidays that stopped me from finishing his gift.
we might be missing the point here...
1.) i KNOW its not christmas anymore.
2.) following 1. I KNOW I am late
3.) family tradition that we make gifts
4.) stuff came up that stopped me from finishing my dads before christmas to get it to him.
Answer: Get a clear glass plate, decoupage/Mod Podge pictures (either color copies of photos or magazine cut-outs) on the back so they are facing the top of the plate. Decoupage a sheet of tissue paper over the "collage" to seal it in and to provide a backing to the plate. Allow to dry. Voila- You have a lovely decorative plate.

A Microsoft ChristmasXXXfunny or notXXXstar if funnyXXXmy last joke everXXX?
NORTH POLE (API) - MICROSOFT announced an agreement with Santa Claus Industries to acquire Christmas at a press conference held via satellite from Santas summer estate somewhere in the southern hemisphere. In the deal, Microsoft would gain exclusive rights to Christmas, Reindeer, and other unspecified inventions. In addition, Microsoft will gain access to millions of households through the Santa Sleigh.
The announcement also included a notice that beginning Dec 9, 1998, Christmas and the Reindeer names would be copyrighted by Microsoft. This unprecedented move was facilitated by the recently acquired MS Court. Microsoft stated its commitment to "all who have made Christmas great," and vowed to "make licensing of the Christmas and Reindeer names available to all." It is believed that the guidelines for licensing these names, due before Halloween, will be very strict.
When asked "Why buy Christmas?" Bill Gates replied "Microsoft has been working on a more efficient delivery mechanism for all of our products for some time, but recognized that the Santa Sleigh has some immediate benefits. Well use it first for the next release of Windows and Office 98."
In a multimedia extravaganza, the attendees were shown a seemingly endless video stream of products that make up the deal. It ended with a green and red version of the Microsoft logo, and a new Christmas 98 trademark, leading into the announcement of the first product from the deal.
Vixen, the new Director of Holidays and Celebrations said, "The first step is to assimilate Christmas within the Microsoft Organization. This will take some time, so dont expect any changes this year." She continued, "our big plans are for next year, when we release Christmas 99. It will be bigger and better than last year." She further elaborated that "Windows 95 users who sign up with MS Network will get sneak previews of Christmas[99] as early as November first."
Christmas 98 is scheduled for release in December of 1998, though one unnamed source said that it is dangerously close to the end of the year and may slip into the first half of 1999. An economist at Goldman Sachs explained that a slip would be catastrophic to next years economy and the nations tax revenue, possibly requiring the IRS to move the deadline for filing income tax returns to three months after Christmas, whenever that was. "But it could be good in the long term," he explained. "With Microsoft controlling Christmas, we may see it move to May or June, which are much slower months for retailers. This may serve to even out the economy over the year."
When asked if other holidays are being considered, Mr. Gates explained that "Christmas is the flagship of holidays, so we wanted to start there. Not all holidays are available for sale, and the remaining will have to show a good long-term business," suggesting that holidays with a short history may not be in the plans.
Though specific terms of the agreement were withheld, a Santa official confirmed that the deal was "sizeable, even for a man of Santas stature."
Some analysts think that Santa has saturated the Holiday market, and is looking for a means to expand his business to year round products and services. Others contend that the Jolly Red Man is looking to retire in Redmond.
A spokesperson for the most famous Reindeer could not be reached for comment.
