Liberals how would you solve this problem?
Liberals how will you solve this problem? After Obamacare has passed and the people who actually work to pay the taxes revolt and 70% of the US Military resign because they will not fight their family and friends and join the Conservative side. Then you are the protectors of Obama and Liberalism and are faced with this field problem:
Your Enemy: You come across an objective that is in the Conservative Area of Operation (AO). The AO is on the high ground with commanding view of the surrounding terrain. It is boardered on one side by a river and on the other by thick woods and underbrush. The Conservatives have made a trench system that covers the front and back approach (300M each) with the Command Post in the middle with several Mortar pits surrounding the CP. Every 50M there is a M240B in cover. The AO has a BN size element with air support, indirect fire support, and artillery support available. The approach leading up to the AO is littered with engineer obstacles, Constantia wire, anti-personnel mines, and other unseen obstacles. Your enemy is well trained and motivated.
You: You are in charge of a not very well trained force. Your force is made up of gang members loyal to Obama, Union Members, Marxist types, and other Liberals. Your “unit” has already moved 6 clicks today and your union “Grunts” are complaining that they have already walked their 6 clicks today and have not had their two union breaks. You are in contact with your transvestite commander who is hysterical because he/she had broken a nail a there was nowhere to get it fixed and was overly concerned that he/she was going to be unable to wash it’s thong underwear because the Conservative had cut off your supply lines and were threatening to overrun the area. You move on to you higher command to get instructions on how to proceed, tomorrow since your union guys are threatening a strike if they have to walk any further. Your upper command is a insider, Marxist professor, we is now concerned because since Washington D.C. had been taken, there was very little communication coming from the top. He is also having trouble finding supplies since California, Oregon, and Washington State had been cutoff and most of the supplies needed for military operations had been diverted to New England to feed the Liberal citizens for the “better good” and as food begins to run out because the “Red States” have stopped sending food…everything is in disarray. All your rich elitist Liberals, except Bill Ayers who had been executed for crime against the Constitution, have fled to Canada; all Liberal lawmakers have either been captured or have sought refuge in Venezuela, and all the Hollywierd Liberals have fled to Europe to “wait it out”. So what is your next move?
Answer: Hopefully, it won't come to armed conflict. We do have a revolution scheduled for 2012 which really should take care of the problem.
BTW, you just might want to rethink some of your position. A few of the 'liberals' that I shoot with are pretty darned accurate. I would hate to be up against those guys in a firefight.
Nevertheless,
The politicians have come to believe that they are our masters rather than our servants.
They are out of control.
It's time to vote ALL of them out of office.
We need to have a "REMOVE INCUMBENT" option on the ballot.

Obamas Rx for the Middle Class?
"This is a make-or-break moment for the middle class."
Thats not good news for the middle class. Whats the big problem facing Americans today? A lack of good jobs or the fact that rich people make more now than rich people used to make?
The president seems to believe the latter. He seems to think that if Democrats raise tax rates on the wealthy, jobs will become fruitful and multiply. Or if they dont, at least he can blame Republicans for not agreeing to his economic package.
"I believe that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, when everyone does their fair share (and) when everyone plays by the same rules," Obama told Osawatomie. But his actions and his words do not mesh.
Fair shot? How much help is a fair shot if the job market isnt improving? With the worlds second-highest corporate tax rate, the United States should be more competitive in the global marketplace. Yet the presidents answer isnt flatter tax rates that send a positive signal to investors. No, he wants "investments" in education and technology.
In this speech, Obama didnt mention "green jobs," his erstwhile jobs of the future. A June audit found that $500 million slated for training for green jobs in 2009 created a mere 1,336 jobs that lasted six months or longer.
Obamas jobs of the future would be construction workers "rebuilding our roads and our bridges."
Problem: The administration delayed a decision on the 1,700-mile Keystone XL pipeline until 2013. Thats what happens when real jobs could cost Obama his job by alienating green voters.
Fair share? In the Kansas speech, Obama extolled Minnesota manufacturer Marvin Windows and Doors for laying off workers only once in 100 years. During tough times, Obama noted, Marvins unnamed owners shared the pain of reduced compensation with their workers.
So who is Obamas jobs czar? Not the suckers at Marvin. General Electric chief executive Jeff Immelt, whose compensation doubled last year as GE was seeking concessions from workers, is Obamas go-to guy on jobs. The New York Times reported that General Electric didnt pay a dime in federal taxes in 2010 -- even though the multinational corporation earned $5.1 billion in U.S. profits.
Answer: Obama is alien because he was brought up by communists and leftists and hung around nothing but the same type of people his entire life. He has no clue what made America great; people that came here from other lands and became citizens could give Obama lessons on what it means to be an American.

Forgetting healthcare for a bit, doesnt it just "get you"when people like Bloomberg make statements about ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the rich that are Soooo condescending to others who dont make millions in salary, much less in bonuses?
Bloomberg is ~~ just as many believe ~completely "out of touch"?
By SARA KUGLER
NEW YORK - Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg defended multibillion-dollar pharmaceutical companies and their chief executives on Friday, declaring that they "dont make a lot of money" and shouldnt be scapegoats in the health care debate.
The mayor - and wealthiest person in New York City with a fortune estimated at $16.5 billion - made the comments on his radio show Friday during a discussion about health care.
"You know, last time I checked, pharmaceutical companies dont make a lot of money, their executives dont make a lot of money - not that they couldnt be better," Bloomberg said.
Pharmaceutical CEOs are known to make millions, with generous salaries, stock options and other perks.
Abbott Laboratories Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Miles Whites compensation was $25.3 million in 2008. The North Chicago, Ill.-based company saw profit rising 35 percent to $4.88 billion.
Merck & Co.s chief executive, Richard T. Clark, received a $17.3 million compensation package for 2008. The companys profit more than doubled to $7.8 billion.
The mayor, a Republican-turned-independent who already has spent more than $36 million on his re-election campaign this year, often battles criticism that he is out of touch with regular people. He built his fortune after founding the financial information company that bears his name.
Earlier this year he declared "we love the rich people" while arguing against raising taxes on the wealthy, and said recently that President Barack Obama, who earns $400,000 a year and has made millions from book sales, "doesnt get paid that much" and is "on a budget" like millions of Americans.
Portraying Bloomberg as out of touch is a tactic often used by the Democratic frontrunner in the race, City Comptroller William Thompson Jr.
Thompsons campaign said in a statement Friday that Bloomberg "needs a dose of reality."
"Once again, Mike proves that he just doesnt get it," the statement said.
It was clear that Bloomberg or one of his aides realized his gaffe while he was still on the air Friday.
The mayor, who has sought to cast himself as a financial and business expert, came back from a break and said he had looked up the pay of some pharmaceutical executives.
"Some of them are making a decent amount, more than a decent amount of money," he said.
Either way, Bloomberg said, it doesnt solve anything to beat up on pharmaceutical companies while trying to come up with health care solutions.
humm
what charity?
Some give to those who already have, assuming that those who "already have" give a darn about them.
They dont.
pathetic really
Answer: In some ways they are all out of touch.
Most have never had real money problems, real jobs or real lives, thus they are very out of touch.
President Obamas proposal will be strongly debated in Congress. US President Barack Obama will seek to raise taxes on the wealthy as he unveils his budget later, prompting an election year fight with Republicans.
The spending proposal includes $1.5 trillion (£950bn) in new taxes, much from allowing Bush-era tax cuts to expire.
He will also call for a Buffett Plan tax hike on millionaires and job-creating infrastructure projects.
The budget must be agreed between the White House and Congress.
GOP Spokesman on TV said he wants the President and SOCIALIST policies to fail.! Know what social system is?
social system is where no one is allowed to own private land and all is shared
There is not one socialist country left in the world, nor has been for decades
Social-like systems do exist..they share interstates, schools systems, medicare, governments, tax SYSTEMS, fire fighters, police force, army, employment insurance and social security etc.
This is the USA....
How does his bill past remotely turn this country into socialist one when it already is?
How does his buying shares in banks, yet not taking gov. control become a socialist country
taking over few...while leaving share holders run own business is not socialism
they keep on saying they will take away rights and Constitution and using as old fear tactic and look who does believe their new spokesman
When has President Obama ever said will take over people home, land or business? When?
socialist confused with communist and reason why GOP use the words
Socialism generally aims to have as many people as possible to influence how economy works...people/gov
Communist seeks to concrete that number into very very few and rule with no freedoms to any one ...classless form
This country is socialist and capitalist country
what has happened is not enough regulations to offset what this crisis proved to all.....let them have none...the cards fall and was years in the making
Canada has regulations....banks strongest in the world
People own more than two homes, rich people and poor people same as here...except national health care for all. Free to have guns but not carry them without permits, free speech but have laws in place to prevent extreme hate speech..people can say what they want except when proven by high courts cause someone harm...main stream media needs to be even handed but still has radical media.
See..what is major problem ? President is taking away your rights how may I ask???
Socialism in fact one of the ideas os that everyone within the society will benefit from capitalism as much as possible as long as some Control is in place...(.BANK regulators to some banks..not all )
Socialist vs capitalist...we have bit of both in this country and the opposite is Communism vs fascists and that is what they are using to place fear into all about this bill
this country must not believe and accept the fact already socialist and already capitalist...control is needed in both
Neither can survive without the other. Wanting his socialist policies to fail....will bring us all down. We know know why he wants us to fail. We know who their spokesman is. We now need to help President NOT fail as we have have stake in this..How do we ??
Answer: This is your brain on Kool-Aid!
Who are the people supporting the Wall Street protesters?
(The Washington Times) —
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011… Obama’s shock troops are marching in the streets. Occupy Wall Street — a movement composed of communists, anarchists, socialists and anti-globalization student radicals — is spreading. Protests have swelled in cities including New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and Philadelphia. The protesters are gaining influence and numbers. A ragtag group of hippie students has turned into a potent political force.
Occupy Wall Street seeks to demonize big banks, large corporations and capitalism. Its goal is to overturn America’s economic structure. The protesters are calling for wealth redistribution, fees on bank profits and massive tax increases on the rich. Many are demanding a socialist revolution — the confiscation of private property and nationalization of the economy. They are the heirs of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin. Their aim is to impose the hammer and sickle upon America.
Leftist radicals, such as Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky, have endorsed the anti-capitalist movement. Both men have glorified authoritarian communist regimes — Fidel Castro’s Cuba, Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela and the old Soviet Union. Their hatred for America has found expression in the rabble on the streets of New York and Washington. Actress Roseanne Barr even has called for the return of the “guillotine.” She wants bankers to be sent to “re-education camps,” and if they still refuse to hand over their profits, they should be beheaded, she says. This is the language of revolutionary terror and Marxist violence.
Mr. Obama has said he “sympathizes” with the protesters — especially their anger at Wall Street and “fat-cat” bankers. For years, he has demonized billionaires and millionaires, jet owners and corporate America. His divisive, irresponsible rhetoric has laid the groundwork for Occupy Wall Street.
The White House connection is even deeper. The protest’s main players all have ties to the Obama administration. Its primary organizer is former Obama “green-jobs czar” Van Jones. Mr. Jones is a self-avowed communist and follower of Saul Alinsky, the radical community organizer who also was Mr. Obama’s intellectual mentor. Mr. Jones said October is the month of the long-awaited “progressive offensive” — the watershed moment when students, labor unions, socialists and civil rights activists coalesce into an anti-Tea Party to blunt Middle America’s growing opposition to Mr. Obama.
Occupy Wall Street also is being supported by MoveOn.org. The group was one of the first to back Mr. Obama’s presidential candidacy when he was still an obscure senator from Illinois. The protests are being funded by socialist billionaire George Soros — a key Obama ally. And the protesters are being joined by big labor, the administration’s most powerful constituency.
Hence, Occupy Wall Street is not a spontaneous uprising of disenchanted citizens frustrated with corporate plutocracy and capitalist excess. Rather, it is a planned, manufactured attempt to prop up Mr. Obama’s failed presidency. It is a page taken straight from the Alinsky playbook: Demonize bankers and businessmen in order to divert attention from the real source of our economic woes, Mr. Obama’s policies.
Has he lost his marbles. The millionaires are not suppose to pay anything.
Read more: WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is expected to seek a new base tax rate for the wealthy to ensure that millionaires pay at least at the same percentage as middle income taxpayers.
A White House official said the proposal would be included in the presidents proposal for long term deficit reduction that he will announce Monday. The official spoke anonymously because the plan has not been officially announced.
Pay Up! Obama Embraces “Buffett Rule” Seeking New Taxes On Rich
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is expected to seek a new base tax rate for the wealthy to ensure that millionaires pay at least at the same percentage as ...
Im leaning McCain right now, am I wrong?
Ive been reading a lot about the two candidates and put down my reasons on why I would want to vote for them, I dont really care about Gay marriage or Abortion because they dont effect me and my family, below are the reason I would vote for each candidate and how these issues would effect me and my family either now or down the road.
PRO McCain Reasons
* He is going to double the Personal Tax Exemption for Dependents, so that means more money for us for my kid and any other child we have.
* He is proposing that we build 45 new nuclear power plants, my company specializes in nuclear power plants and is the "Greener Way" to produce Electricity. Obama also has a similar approach but its not as aggressive.
* I think our Commander and Chief of the Military should have some Military Experience.
* McCains average tax breaks would benefit our total income bracket more than Obamas, if we made less money Obamas would benefit us more.
* He is going to keep the Bush Tax rebate check that we received, I did think getting that check this year was pretty awesome.
* He is in favor of implementing an act that will allow a employee to take 12 weeks of unpaid leave for family medical reasons without being penalized by their employer. Umm thats pretty awesome. He also sponsored the Family Friendly Workplace Act which sought to allow employers to provide more flexible work schedules to help balance work and family.
PRO OBAMA Reasons
* His health care plan is a lot better, his plan guarantees affordable health care and it only raises the national debt slightly higher than McCain who only offers a $5,000 tax credit. I currently have decent health care, but I think it could be better.
* He is going to tax the rich more to fund Social Security. McCain is going to give the employer the option to invest or not. This is kind of a wash as it effecting me, but for people who dont have any 401Ks its helpful.
* He opposes the war in Iraq, but Im not sure if we should pull out right now. Maybe this isnt a "pro"
* Better Illegal Immigration and will crack down on employers who hire illegal immigrants.
BOTH PRO OR NOT
* Both have a great environmental approach to reduce emissions and help the environment. McCain has a great plan that rewards auto makers to create environmental safe car batteries and safer emissions. The League of Conservation Voters has given Obama the highest lifetime rating of anyone currently running for president.
* Education - McCain supports vouchers that favor private schools while Obama doesnt, McCain voted against increasing federal student loans and Pell grants and expanding eligibility for financial aid. I support the voucher but not the vote against increased student loans.
I decided to look and read about both of their pasts and found out that McCain is a pretty bad ass dude. He grew up as a Navy brat and bounced around like many of them did. He and his brothers and sisters followed in their fathers footsteps and joined the navy. He went to the Naval Academy, He butted heads with authorities and was popular among his classmates for doing so as well as not putting up with bullying. He ranked low in his class despite his high intelligence. He married a model with two children and adopted them, she got into a car accident and stayed with her for over 15 years before asking for a divorce. He was a career military man and I heard about him crashing in North Vietnam and being a prisoner of War and being tortured for almost 6 years, but didnt know the extent of what really went on. The guy has more scars than Frankenstein and has been through everything you can possibly imagine. I now feel bad for making fun of the way he
looks and his "robotic like" moves, the guy is lucky to be alive let alone stand up. He has received many of the highest achievements and awards the military offers. He has been on many House Committees and has alot more experience than Obama. He has made some mistakes in his past but has done more than enough to makeup for them. He is a guy who has a bad temper and doesnt always go with the grain, that is why he is known as a "maverick" and probably the closest thing to a democratic republican. The dude is 71 years old and has either been through or seen everything.
Obama early life is probably the exact opposite of the way McCain grew up. He lived in Hawaii most of his life going to public schools although he did live in Indonesia for 4 years from ages 6-10. He didnt really know his Dad who was a foreigner from Kenya and his mother stayed in Indonesia with is step father, he was raised mostly by his grandparents. He admits to doing drugs like pot and cocaine back in the day and admits its his greatest moral failure. He moved to LA for college, transferred to Columbia, traveled, went to Law School and was your typical average young adult who strives and accomplished alot with out a successful family to back him up. He graduated law School, worked for
Answer: You seem to have done your research. If McCain fits you better, then vote for him. My situation leads me to Obama. Thank you for at least showing that someone can post a question without using some lame made up #^*% they saw somewhere else.
PETER ROFF — THE FIRST 100 DAYS: An Administration Filled With Far-Left Extremists
By Peter Roff
Fellow, Institue for Liberty/Former Senior Political Writer, United Press International
Longtime conservative leader Morton Blackwell, a Reagan administration alumni and once the youngest Goldwater delegate at the GOP convention, is perhaps best know as the originator of the phrase “Personnel is policy.”
Blackwell’s observation speaks a great truth about American government. Since no one man or woman can do it all, alone, we have followed the French in the development of bureaucratic systems that allow for power and authority to be delegated to subordinates who are responsible, on a daily basis, for the administration of public policy. It is these people, even more than the president, who directly impact the way policies are developed and carried out.
Almost everywhere you look in the Obama administration you can find appointees whose beliefs are clearly outside the mainstream.
The people chosen to fill positions within an administration, no matter how minor those positions might be, matter; they matter because they are being handed the tools with which to make real decisions that have an effect on the American people, the American economy, our legal system, our national defense and just about any other issue you can name on a day-to-day basis.
Throughout the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama presented himself to the American people as a change-oriented centrist, slightly to the left of the middle of the road. The way he has governed over his first 100 days, however, shows him to be anything but the image he projected, particularly where many of his appointments are concerned. And it is these appointments that will determine the direction of policy in his administration over the next four years.
Some of the names and some of the circumstances are already familiar. Obama may have a Cabinet that, to borrow a phrase from Bill Clinton, “looks like America.” But they certainly don’t pay taxes like the rest of us. Several of his most high level appointees, chief among them Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, have been exposed as having failed to pay the taxes they owed at the time these should have paid them.
Then there is Attorney General Eric Holder, who prior to his appointment may have been best known for helping fugitive financier Marc Rich obtain a pardon in the waning days of the Clinton administration. Since coming into office, however, he shocked the nation when, during a presentation to mark Black History month, he called America a “nation of cowards” on the issue of race. Writer Joe Klein, who is generally sympathetic to the liberal point of view, denounced Holder for his remarks, saying they provided “absolutely no acknowledgement of the incredible progress that has been made over the last 40 or 50 years.”
Janet Napolitano, who leads the Department of Homeland Security, similarly came under fire after her department released a report on so-called rise of right-wing extremism in America that lumped returning veterans and anti-abortion activists into the same group as white power organizations and Timothy McVeigh, who helped mastermind the 1995 bombing of the Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City. Embarrassed, she met with veterans groups in Washington on Friday and gave what an American Legion representative characterized as a “heartfelt” apology.
But it’s not just the apples at the top of the barrel that are reason to be suspicious that a leftward drift is underway. There are plenty of secondary appointments, not all of which are subject to the Senate’s advice and consent, which make up the new administration’s gallery of liberal rogues.
White House Science Advisor Dr. John P. Holdren is a noted alarmist where the idea of global catastrophes is concerned. In 1971, he predicted that “some form of eco-catastrophe, if not thermonuclear war, seems almost certain to overtake us before the end of the century.” That same year Holdren also claimed that “population control, the redirection of technology, the transition from open to closed resource cycles, the equitable distribution of opportunity, and the ingredients of prosperity must all be accomplished if there is to be a future worth living.”
More recently, in 2006, Holdren suggested that global sea levels could rise by 13 feet by the end of this century. The 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fourth Assessment Report suggests a potential sea level rise of just 13 inches.
Another Obama appointee clearly outside the mainstream of American thought and values is Harold Koh, the Yale Law School dean whom Obama tapped be the State Department’s legal adviser.
Koh is, as columnist Andy McCarthy has written, “a radical trans-nationalist.” His view is that the United States is not, in essence, an independent nation with a natural right to govern its own
Answer: I did not vote for the socialist in chief. That is why I am fighting what he does tooth and nail. A lot of people I know who voted for him are also gettin disgusted with his seeming anti-Americanism. Bet there is "change" in 2012.
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is sending Congress a new budget that seeks to achieve $4 trillion in deficit reduction over the next decade through cuts in government spending and higher taxes on the wealthy.
Title: Obama vows swift action to revive US economy
By MIRA OBERMAN
CHICAGO (AFP) — President-elect Barack Obama vowed swift action to revive the stricken US economy through aggressive government intervention Monday as he named some of "the best minds in America’’ to his economic team.
Recovery will not come overnight but there is not a "minute to waste,’’ Obama said as he lost little time in unveiling a heavyweight team of economic lieutenants headed by Timothy Geithner as Treasury secretary and including ex-Treasury boss Larry Summers as a top adviser.
At his second news conference since his election triumph on Nov. 4, Obama said the US economy was trapped in a "vicious cycle’’ but touted a plan to create 2.5 million jobs through a spending spree on national infrastructure.
Obama nominated Geithner to take charge of the Treasury and its $ 700-billion bailout for troubled financial institutions as the US administration announced its latest rescue deal, this time for Citigroup.
Vowing to uphold President George W. Bush’s farreaching market commitments, Obama said: ‘’We’ll need to bring together the best minds in America to guide us and that is what I’ve sought to do in assembling my economic team.’’
The President-elect, who takes office on Jan. 20, said his team offered ‘’a depth of experience and a wealth of bold new ideas,’’ with the understanding ‘’that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers.’’
Obama reaffirmed that he would not allow the embattled US auto industry ‘’simply to vanish,’’ but vowed no ‘’blank check’’ for a government bailout without long-term changes from the Detroit manufacturers.
Geithner, 47, brings upclose experience of the financial crisis, having executed the US central bank’s burst of market activity from his perch atop the New York Fed.
The former Treasury official ‘’will start his first day on the job with a unique insight into the failures of today’s markets -- and a clear vision of the steps we must take to revive them,’’ Obama said.
Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson lauded his designated successor for having been ‘’critical’’ to the administration’s attempts to shore up a battered Wall Street, including in the bailouts of Bear Stearns and insurance giant AIG.
Geithner also received fulsome praise from the White House after taking part in talks to craft a $ 20billion rescue deal for Citigroup announced earlier by the Bush administration.
‘’He’s obviously exceptionally talented and very smart and ably led the New York Fed these past number of years,’’ White House spokesman Tony Fratto said.
Obama meanwhile touted Summers, 53, as ‘’one of the great economic minds of our time’’ as he named Bill Clinton’s blunt-talking final Treasury secretary as director of the powerful National Economic Council.
Obama scheduled another press conference for Tuesday, where further economic appointments were expected along with more details of a planned stimulus package that some reports said could top $ 700 billion.
The appointments could include his pick for commerce secretary with New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson reportedly in line for the job of promoting domestic industry.
The stimulus package should be ‘’enacted right away’’ by the new Congress in January, Obama said.
He declined to reveal the cost but said: ‘’It is going to be of a size and scope that is necessary to get this economy back on track.’’
Despite the risk of stunningly high budget deficits, Obama vowed to keep his campaign promise to cut taxes for 95 percent of working Americans by raising taxes on the richest, but stopped short of elaborating a timeline.
Democratic House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said: ‘’Congress stands ready to work with the new President on his bold plan to restore confidence to our economy.’’
House Republican leader John Boehner said that while he looked forward to working with Obama’s economic team, the US public did ‘’not believe increasing government spending is the best way to put our economy back on track.’’
With the main economic players in place, Obama is expected soon to fill out his national security posts and select a secretary of state -- with former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton hotly tipped to serve as diplomat-in-chief.
Susan Rice, an Obama campaign advisor and a former assistant secretary of state for African affairs, has emerged as the leading candidate to be nominated for the US ambassador to the United Nations, ABC News reported.
Answer: Government involvement in most areas has had dismal results. When we ignore realities and attempt to create artificial conditions that ignore the laws of economics we dig ourselves in to deeper problems than we would have if we would just let things correct themselves. Supply and demand is a natural cure for most economic problems. I doubt that the intent of Congress is driven by something that is good for all of us. Greed and corruption is a threat until we adopt term limits for all Congressmen and
Congresswomen and Senators. Open Government should be our goal, also.
Question about President v. Candidate Obama?
OK, so we all know that politicians make a lot of promises during the election cycle and Obama made quite a few big ones .... now let me preface this by stating that I am not a Republican nor a Democrat, actually a member of a Communist party .... I was truly dismayed by the election of Obama because of the sheer numbers of otherwise intelligent (in hindsight naive) young people that once supported causes such as ending the war, fighting for single payer universal health care, promoting the employee free choice act, and a number of other important issues ... suddenly dropped off, attendance at our meetings dropped during the campaign season (it has since significantly rebounded) as people seemed to have somehow been lulled into believing Obama would resolve these issues .... so, now that it has been a couple of months I just wanted to check up on people and see if their view of Obama has changed (perhaps become more in line with reality)
to better answer this question I would like people to respond to several facts (all of which are independently verifiable) concerning campaign promises and actual actions taken by the president:
1) He vowed to end the USA PATRIOT Act, which he then helped to renew.
2) He said that the Bush Warrentless wiretapping program was illegal, recently he pledged to continue the program and sought to dismiss lawsuits that challenged it.
3) He “symbollically” closed Gitmo on his first day of office, Guantenemo Bay isn’t really closing for at least another year, and he is still allowing renditions (secret abductions) to take place.
4) He promised to allow five days of comments on bills pending his signature, then pushed a bailout that gave 700$ billion dollars of working peoples tax dollars to rich capitalists
5) Obama promised to keep lobbyists out of Washington. Don’t you remember the “cleaning up Washington” rhetoric we heard all campaign long? Since being elected, he has done a complete 180, and has filled all levels of the federal government with donors, lobbyists, and wall street executives. including
* Timothy Geithner - Secretary of the Treasury - Former President of the Private Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Geithner has filled the treasury department with lobbyists, such as his Chief of Staff Mark Patterson, who is formerly the top lobbyist for Goldman Sachs.
* Leon Panetta - CIA Director - King of Wall Street Lobbyists
* George Mitchell - Middle Eastern Envoy - Top Lobbyist to the Saudi Family
* William Lynn - Deputy Secretary of Defense - Top Raytheon Lobbyist
* Tom Daschle - Department of Health and Human Services - Top Lobbyist of Health Care Firms
* Rob Emanuel - Chief of Staff - Former Wall Street Executive
6) He promised to negotiate health care reform in public sessions televised on C-SPAN, which did not happen and instead resulted in more then a hundred so-called experts called to comment by invitation only, not one of the "experts" was an advocate of single payer health care
7) promised to bring the troops home from Iraq within 6 months of his election, he then changed this to 16 months, and now to 23 months ... on top of that he has confirmed that up to 50,000 troops will remain in Iraq after the 23 months, he has also escalated the war in Afghanistan by increasing the number of US troops.
Smartie: please respond to the items I listed, your answer has nothing to do with my question.
Answer: They all do it. Did anyone really believe that he would be any different?
All politicians tell you what you want to hear before they are elected, once in, it is business as usual.
That is the reason I voted 3rd party and will keep doing so until the rest of the country wakes up and does the same. The only change will come from the people.
He had much support from younger, idealistic people who have been brainwashed by the school system and still does. Hopefully they are learning.
When analyzing why they want to push bills through, follow the money and see who it really benefits. Pelosi had investments in AIG, Dodd had real estate - is it any wonder they were "too big to fail"?
A good law takes time and all of the ramifications must be considered.
Although Bush created some of these problems, it is time to move on and stop blaming and take responsibility for your own actions. It is like blaming your parents for the way you are and that excuse does not fly. Finding excuses is just another way of not accepting responsibility.
Should the US government take our tax $ to give one company owned by foreigners, unfair advantage over another?
The US government is giving Chrysler money to buy old cars for $4500 towards the sale of a new Chrysler. Chrysler already took many billions of $$, foreign interests have pretty much been given a huge chunk of the company and certain politicians supporters more of it.
This will hurt Fords business, a company who stayed afloat taking None of our money at a time when things have been very hard for them.
Isnt this extremely twisted and wrong? Not to mention taking our money to just give away to individuals who got part of the company for nothing, but being political allys, and others for supporting one business over another because of cheaper prices paid for by US to support favoritism for one company over another.
How would you like it if you worked for Ford and your job was put in jeopardy over this? Or if Obama just decided he liked a competing company better than the one you work for and decided to give them a competitive advantage?
Its not like this isnt already going on. The tarp money is being used to support friends of the administration and hard foes. To bail out banks Senators have interest in that dont qualify. To help some banks steal other banks assets and leave their stock holders with nothing.
WHAT CAN COME OF ALL THIS?
Im telling you, if this doesnt stop we will all be working for the government. Directly or by large corporations owned or otherwise controlled by the government. Like everyone in the health care industry. Insurance industry, Auto industry, energy industry, Banking industry, home industry, farming industry, media, State and Local governments are being given money and controlled by the feds as well. If these people are not pushed back, the government will control your medical, your job, make it impossible for you to start or own a small business or any way of making a living not controlled by the federal government. They will control your thermostat, where your children go to school because they will ally with teachers unions to crush private and home schooling, and they have made it evident that the alliance with the Union is more important than childrens education when they scrapped a hugely money saving (saved 45% off the cost of public education) voucher program that got kids in DC out of horrible dangerous schools with terrible results in education and helped them into private schools with excellent results and a nice environment for the children in stead of dangerous, but the alliance with the teachers Union was more important than the childrens safety, the quality of the education, and the huge money they were saving on the program. That has to tell you something.
The Obamas have also profited richly when Michelle Obama devised a program to shove the poor out to crappy clinics so the rich could have better access to the nice facilities in a University Hospital in Chicago. There is a congressional investigation underway started by democrats and involving the extremely leftist democrat Bobby Rush.
This is not about whats good for you. The Obama administration is not about what is good for the poor, but they are elitists who align with the rich and lie to and use the poor for political support to help their big support in the circles of the worlds elite billionaires. Yes, the worlds billionaires, people like George from Belgium who hates the position of the US in the world and seeks to bring down our standard of living, while he and his billionaire friends, the ruling class and the Oligarchy they create are of course above all those rules and restrictions they place on the little people.
Take a really good look at what you are getting here. You may also want to take a good look at how the people have ever fared in a popular uprising involving taking from one group to supposedly give to the masses. The poor screwed the producers in the country, got a little to start and keep them going, and it ended up with the extremely rich and the governing class getting it all, those with enough money getting out, and the poor stuck in much worse conditions than they started with. Russia, Cuba, Burma, Germany (under the National Socialist Nazi Party) Iran, and so many other examples around the world.
When the government takes control and there is no one to stop them, they will never look out for the little guy, ever. They take it all for themselves and their friends. That is where we are headed people.
George = George Soros, didnt get that last name in.
Will, You are Wrong, or Dishonest. The Federal Government is not giving the incentive to Ford. Why is it democrats without an argument invariably turn to lies? And invariably dont really have a good argument? This is not a partisan thing.
Answer: It is absolutely unconstitutional. The duties of the Federal government are laid out and they are not to push outside of those limits. Obama is an enemy to the constitution, but it's not just democrats. There is a conspiracy to set up an Oligarchy by and for a cabal of Ivy League graduates and many of the extremely rich in the world, like George Soros, you need to really check his record. Convicted in Europe for currency manipulations and booted out of more than one country. He is the tip of the ice burg from Europe, and there are middle eastern interest, Oriental interests and billionaires from all over the world who are beyond laws and borders you will NEVER hear about.
This is an attempted culmination of a plan to pluck the US and put it under the domination of a world wide Oligarchy. To them we are live stock and they don't think we deserve such a quality of life as we have here in the US. The live stock can get by and survive to fill their purpose on much less, and be much less trouble that way.
Do you want to collapse the US economy?
Who are the people supporting the Wall Street protesters?
(The Washington Times) —
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011… Obama’s shock troops are marching in the streets. Occupy Wall Street — a movement composed of communists, anarchists, socialists and anti-globalization student radicals — is spreading. Protests have swelled in cities including New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and Philadelphia. The protesters are gaining influence and numbers. A ragtag group of hippie students has turned into a potent political force.
Occupy Wall Street seeks to demonize big banks, large corporations and capitalism. Its goal is to overturn America’s economic structure. The protesters are calling for wealth redistribution, fees on bank profits and massive tax increases on the rich. Many are demanding a socialist revolution — the confiscation of private property and nationalization of the economy. They are the heirs of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin. Their aim is to impose the hammer and sickle upon America.
Leftist radicals, such as Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky, have endorsed the anti-capitalist movement. Both men have glorified authoritarian communist regimes — Fidel Castro’s Cuba, Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela and the old Soviet Union. Their hatred for America has found expression in the rabble on the streets of New York and Washington. Actress Roseanne Barr even has called for the return of the “guillotine.” She wants bankers to be sent to “re-education camps,” and if they still refuse to hand over their profits, they should be beheaded, she says. This is the language of revolutionary terror and Marxist violence.
Mr. Obama has said he “sympathizes” with the protesters — especially their anger at Wall Street and “fat-cat” bankers. For years, he has demonized billionaires and millionaires, jet owners and corporate America. His divisive, irresponsible rhetoric has laid the groundwork for Occupy Wall Street.
The White House connection is even deeper. The protest’s main players all have ties to the Obama administration. Its primary organizer is former Obama “green-jobs czar” Van Jones. Mr. Jones is a self-avowed communist and follower of Saul Alinsky, the radical community organizer who also was Mr. Obama’s intellectual mentor. Mr. Jones said October is the month of the long-awaited “progressive offensive” — the watershed moment when students, labor unions, socialists and civil rights activists coalesce into an anti-Tea Party to blunt Middle America’s growing opposition to Mr. Obama.
Occupy Wall Street also is being supported by MoveOn.org. The group was one of the first to back Mr. Obama’s presidential candidacy when he was still an obscure senator from Illinois. The protests are being funded by socialist billionaire George Soros — a key Obama ally. And the protesters are being joined by big labor, the administration’s most powerful constituency.
Hence, Occupy Wall Street is not a spontaneous uprising of disenchanted citizens frustrated with corporate plutocracy and capitalist excess. Rather, it is a planned, manufactured attempt to prop up Mr. Obama’s failed presidency. It is a page taken straight from the Alinsky playbook: Demonize bankers and businessmen in order to divert attention from the real source of our economic woes, Mr. Obama’s policies.
Answer: I say if you don't agree with a banks policies or fat bonuses pull your money from them. If a companies policies offend you don't buy their product that is how you change a business or institution. They live by the "Dollar". Stock prices go down when people don't buy a commodity, so if you don't like it don't buy. See they are right, but going about it wrong as usual. They do have the power to change Wall Street, but protests just take the peoples eyes off of Washington and place them on somewhere else.
That is why they are for this protesting, it gets Americas focus off of them. The ones who passed the treaties that moved jobs overseas, The ones that stole the money from The Social Security Fund ( Yes Stole, to take money and never intend to put it back is stealing). The ones that keep placing their pork barrel projects on the backs of working America. The ones that are failing to help Middle America, but can pass bills to assist State Governments in the name of job Stimulation. If you want to see stimulation give the money back to the middle class worker. He will buy clothes for his family, replace his old beater with a new car. Repair his home, by hiring a contractor. there you have it jobs!
