Why did Rick Perry sign a law that gives in state tuition to non residents? Is this cool or what?
http://news.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view/20110728in-state_tuition_for_illegal_immigrants_could_prove_a_tough_issue_for_perry/srvc=home&position=recent
AUSTIN, Texas — With Rick Perry’s record getting presidential-level scrutiny, one crack in his conservative credentials could pose a serious problem — signing a bill giving in-state tuition to illegal immigrants.
Perry defended his 2001 decision to a New Hampshire reporter last week, saying he didn’t want to punish young people for their parent’s actions. But for tea party activists and social conservatives crucial to any Perry bid for the White House, his support of Texas "DREAM Act" for undocumented students could be a tough sell.
"From my experience dealing with Iowans in all 99 counties, the immigration issue is a very sensitive issue," said Iowa tea party activist Gregg Cummings of Lamoni, Iowa. "He’s going to have a tough time trying to answer."
While other decisions in Perry’s past might raise questions on the right, his backing of in-state tuition for the children of illegal immigrants at Texas universities sends a clear and unambiguous message to tea party voters on an issue they care passionately about.
"The DREAM Act could be Perry’s version of Romneycare," said Dallas tea party member Ken Emanuelson, referring to Mitt Romney’s state health care plan he pushed through as governor in Massachusetts.
Perry will announce in about three weeks that he’s running for president, according to a close associate. He’ll pitch himself as a staunch conservative who can attract both religious and fiscal conservatives.
Emanuelson predicts Perry will have to explain his immigration record to tea party activists in the early GOP nominating states of Iowa and New Hampshire.
"Perry’s speeches would lead you to believe that he’s a border hawk and he’s really fired up about this issue, that the border’s under control and we’ve countered illegal immigration. But he wants to have it both ways," Emanuelson said.
"On the one hand, he’s trying to make the case that we’re Texas, we’re strong and independent. And on the other, he’s saying we can’t take care of ourselves because the federal government isn’t taking care of us."
Questions about Perry’s immigration record underscore a potential rift between the Texas governor and tea party voters he would count on to win the GOP nomination.
On his website, Perry trumpets his record on border security. He says the state has spent millions of dollars on local law enforcement to stem narcotics smuggling and dispatched Texas Rangers to help in criminal cases involving people illegally coming across the border.
But the New Hampshire Tea Party Coalition has posted a blistering online critique challenging Perry’s record on spending, support for toll roads and his mandate that pre-teen girls be inoculated against sexually transmitted disease.
Leading its critique was the tuition bill.
Last week, when a reporter for the New Hampshire Union Leader asked about the in-state tuition bill, Perry said it would have been wrong "to punish these young Texans for their parents’ actions."
Under the law, children of undocumented immigrants qualify for in-state tuition after living in the state for several years and agreeing to work toward citizenship. Several states including California, New York and New Mexico offer tuition breaks, but Texas was the first to do so under Perry.
Texas Democratic consultant Jason Stanford said Perry’s immigration record, especially tuition breaks for the children of illegal immigrants, could damage him among some conservatives.
Answer: Rick Perry, knew i didn't like him and now I have a real reason. Thanks.

Does the Federal Reserve control the entire media?
I used to watch Fox News but I got tired of their attacks on Ron Paul. So I moved to CNN only to see them acting worse than Fox News. Now I moved to MSNBC and today on the last word the host really attacked a Ron Paul staff with the same nasty stuff that the other channels attack Ron Paul with. I am glad Ron Paul didnt go there. That would not be a comfortable situation for him.
Even in the ABC debate they were obsessed with Ron Paul running as an Independent. Which I find very weird. Every News channel say exactly the same thing. Ron Paul is not electable. Is Ron Paul going to run as an Independent etc etc. Its exactly the same thing as if they were trained to do that before Ron Paul or one of his staff goes there to that Media channel.
All of them are overly worried about Ron Paul running as an Independent. If Ron Paul really was unelectable. Then why keep harassing him and his staff with constant questions about "Do you plan to run as an Indepenent?"
I strongly recommend Ron Paul to run as an Independent. There is a reason why the whole entire media left and right is overly worried about Ron Paul running as an Independent. He can win and become the President. Why else would both parties and the whole media be so worried. You would think the left would want Ron Paul to run as an Independent cause according to them he would take Republican votes. Oh yea then why is the left so scared?
Notice that when Romney, Newt and any of the other candidates show up to any of those News channels they always treat them with respect. They may bad mouth about them behind their back but they never go on an all out attack like they do with Ron Paul. They always attack Ron Paul and show nothing but disrespect until the very end. Its very uncomfortable for me to watch and I am just a viewer. Even Romney got nothing but respect when he went to MSNBC. They were really nice to him.
I beleive that the Federal Reserve or someone in their ranks is running the entire News Media.

Romney Is Winner In New Hampshire Blunting Attacks

Is Mitt Romney the only guy who can beat President Obama?
Rick Santorum my have basically tied Iowa with Romney and split the delegates, so he is Romneys last challenge in getting the nomination. If Santorum somehow gets the nomination could he somehow beat the president, or even with the bad economy would he lose. I consider myself a conservitive and even though I like Rick Santorum I think Republicans need to get behind Romney even if they dont agree with him on everything because he can actually win. What do you think? Is Romney who dems fear most? I can see Romney winning in the northeast, not Santorum. And even though Romney may lose some southern primaries, they will come back in the general? The last dem some southern states voted for was Jimmy Carter. And lastly to Republicans, even if you are very conservitive leaning will you vote your convictions or vote to win? I just dont think Santorum can win independents like Romney can.
Answer: Santorum would be more likely to get the independents. Romney is seen as a businessman rather than a conservative. He's a flip flopper who was first to mandate citizens to buy health insurance. Also Evangelicals are unlikely to vote for a Mormon. Santorum is sqeaky clean. He had some earmarks, voted for the prescription plan for seniors, and no child left behind. Those are among his worst atributes. He is the only one left who talks about preserving our liberties besides Ron Paul. Many current Ron Paul supporters will end up voting for Obama.

Can Romney win with having so many lies on tape and video?
No one is really hitting Mitt Romney on this issue but its going to really come out if he gets the nomination. Romney has so many lies.....not flip flops but straight forward lies on video and tape just in the past 6 months. I honestly, honest on my soul believe he may have a lying disorder ( I mean that, that is honestly not a bash ) But its just so odd seeing a man lie about things that he said on video out of his own mouth just weeks before.
When the true nominee emerges, that is when the other side will take a billion dollars and go after him/her. But Romney was on Huckabee a little while back and he said that he would absolutely support a bill where it was deemed that life began at fertalization, on video on Huckabee. Now with the bill in Mississippi failing, Romney says that his words are being distorted and twisted. Heres the problem, you cant twist someones words when you see and hear them coming out of their own mouths.
His fellow candidates know he has a problem with lying but they arent going to go after him that much but heres a few quick videos about Romneys lying from Perry and Huntsman

Thats from republicans, imagine when it gets down and dirty with democrats
Now heres the question, democrats arent going to hold back on these lies and they are going to show plenty of videos of Romney just in the last year lying. The plan is going to be to make Romney seem like a snake that will lie or say whatever it takes.....its going to be very hard for Romney to talk about any promises not kept in a general election with his constant flip flopping and lying. I know republicans can get pass that because they want anyone but Obama ...but me, as an independent, I dont trust him. Any independents have any thoughts?
Answer: we the GOP would have to be stupid to vote for Romney after all his lies.wow.

Independents Embrace Obama As They Flee Romney And The GOP

Is this this good news for republicans or what?
Barack Obama bests each of the Republican presidential candidates in hypothetical matchups. In addition, the president’s job approval rating hits its highest point in over six months -- despite a decline in optimism on the economy.
A Fox News poll released Friday shows 48 percent of voters approve of the job Obama is doing as president. That’s up from 45 percent in January, and the highest positive rating Obama has received since June 2011. The president can thank his party faithful, as 85 percent of Democrats approve. Compare that to 33 percent approval among independents and 9 percent among Republicans.
Looking ahead to November, Obama edges Republican Mitt Romney by 5 percentage points (47-42 percent) in a hypothetical matchup today. In January, the president had a narrow one-point edge (46-45 percent). Both leads are within the polls’ margins of sampling error.
The president’s advantage widens against the other GOP contenders. Obama leads Ron Paul by 10 percentage points (48-38 percent), Rick Santorum by 12 points (50-38 percent) and Newt Gingrich by 13 points (51-38 percent).
Among independents, Romney tops Obama by 9 points. Last month, independents also broke for Romney (by 5 points).
More voters overall would be enthusiastic or pleased if Romney (28 percent) or Santorum (27 percent) were to become president than Gingrich (23 percent) or Paul (21 percent). Still, President Barack Obama tops them all, as 41 percent of voters would be enthusiastic or pleased if he were re-elected.
Twice as many voters overall would be enthusiastic if Obama were to be re-elected than if any Republican contenders were to win. And twice as many Democrats would be enthusiastic if Obama were re-elected than Republicans would feel enthused about a victory by any of the GOP candidates.
Gingrich has the highest number of voters -- 33 percent -- saying they would feel scared if he were to become president. Almost as many -- 27 percent -- would feel that way if Obama were re-elected.
At least half of all voters think Romney (55 percent), Paul (51 percent) and Santorum (50 percent) have the integrity to serve effectively as president, while a slim majority says Gingrich doesn’t (52 percent). A 63-percent majority says Obama has the integrity to serve.
The Economy
The poll shows fewer voters are optimistic about the economy. Forty-two percent say the worst is over. That’s down from 48 percent a year ago. Some 48 percent say the worst is yet to come.
Who can fix it? Almost twice as many voters are “very” confident in Obama’s ability to fix the economy as in Romney’s (21 percent and 11 percent respectively). Still, equal numbers of voters are at least somewhat confident in Obama (51 percent) and Romney (51 percent). For Gingrich, 43 percent are very or somewhat confident he can improve the economy.
Other findings from the poll:
-- About half of Republican primary voters would still like to see someone else jump in their race. Would former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush help them oust Obama in November? Not if the election were held today. In an Obama-Bush matchup, the president comes out on top by 50-36 percent. Moreover, Bush receives less backing among Republicans than the other Republican contenders with the exception of Paul.
-- Voters remain overwhelmingly unhappy with lawmakers in Washington: 13 percent approve of the job Congress is doing and 79 percent disapprove. In December, it was 12-83 percent.
-- By a 67-25 percent margin, voters support building the Keystone XL pipeline. That includes: 87 percent of Republicans, 69 percent of independents and 50 percent of Democrats say build it.
-- The poll asked about the Obama administration requiring all employer health plans to provide birth control coverage as part of preventative services for women. (This includes Catholic and other religious-affiliated hospitals and universities that oppose doing so because it violates their religious rights.) A majority sides with the administration: 61 percent of voters approve of the requirement, while 34 percent disapprove. There’s a wide gender gap, as women (67 percent) are significantly more likely than men (53 percent) to approve. Catholics (58 percent) and Protestants (57 percent) alike approve of the requirement. And a majority of Catholic women (65 percent) as well as half of Catholic men (51 percent) also back the mandate.

Any other conservatives think Sarah Palin would make a HORRIBLE presidential candidate?
Sarah is a train wreck of a candidate, and I am saying this as a hardcore conservative.
Look, the one thing that idiots in the Tea Party dont seem to understand is that values mean NOTHING if a candidate isnt electable. After we lost in Delaware and Nevada, Palin came out and defended those races because the candidates – that she hand-picked – "stood up for their values."
Well, you know what Sarah? If someone doesnt get elected, then their values – and the values of those they represent – doesnt mean jack. You can preach all you want about how people in the Tea Party are standing up for their beliefs, and “fighting the good fight,” but theres only one winner in these races, and there isnt a prize for second place.
As for the presidency; Sarah cannot win.
I used to think – during the McCain campaign – that Palin was being treated unfairly by the media, and while I still largely believe that was the case, the woman has (in the last year) shown her true stripes as an imbecile. From her backyard feud with the move-in journalist to giving up the governorship to her ridiculous, self-serving reality TV show, Sarah Palin has proven time and again that – not only is she incapable of leading – shes also one of the dumbest people with influence in this country. She’s Britney Spears dumb; she’s Snooki retarded.
So what will happen if Sarah runs? Option 1 has her winning the Republican nomination and then losing the general election by about 15%. Option 2 (even better) has her losing the Republican nomination and then feeding her own misdirected pride by running as an independent candidate, at which point she costs Mitt Romney (or whoever) just a enough votes to knock Odumbo off the throne.
Either way, not only can Sarah Palin not win the presidency, any scenario where she runs will cost the conservatives a shot at the job. Shes a moron, shes had way more than her deserved 15 minutes of fame, and now shes needs to go back to being a no-nothing housewife and let the real, reasonable politicians lead the country once more.
So what do you think?
*Edit* Phony conservatives? Sarah is a phony conservative. I want people in office who represent their electorate. One Tea Partiers dont seem to comprehend is that the electorate is FAR different in Delaware and Pennsylvania and Ohio than it is in Alabama. Thus, the "conservative ideals" that will get you swept into office will get you laughed out of politics somewhere else.
Im as conservative as the next guy. Im pro-business, anti-abortion, pro family values, anti-illegal immigrants, anti-globalist, etc. etc.
But I want people -- who are at least nominally supportive of my position -- in office. As I said, when we lose these elections, we dont get ANYTHING. When Sarah fields candidates in places they cant win, what do we get? More people supporting the health care bill. More people endangering our national security. More pork. More waste.
The Tea Party is flawed because it is myopic. It is led by idiots, and the queen bee of that hive of stupidity is Sarah Palin.
Answer: I think that she would be an awful candidate.

Why do Repubs keep jumping to the next new thing?
I dont think this Christie sounds like a good candidate. I doubt someone even more moderate than Romney will get the nomination, esp. with the conservative movement in the GOP. Northeasters are always pegged as closet liberals and branded as elitists for whatever reason. Who bets that Christie will either peak and crash like Perry or else split the moderate vote and put Perry or other conservative in?
Its a big mistake for Repubs NOT to go with Romney. A Repub needs to get at least some independents AND Dems. Im an Ohioan Dem who would go for Romney. IDK about Christie - he sounds like a lemon. With Perry, Bachmann, etc., I doubt a conservative would win the national election as I know Ohioans, anyway, are suffering under a conservative Repub governor who is making really unpopular decisions. You dont cut the states top industries (thus, JOBS) during a time of huge unemployment. A conservative will NOT win the White House. Ohio and Florida are the only states that really matter in a general election. I dont know about Florida, but Ohio is past conservatism.
Is anyone else tired of Repubs shifting back and forth? I know its early, but I dont get why people just dont get with Romney. I hope redneck southerners dont ruin it for Romney like they did last time - all states need to have open primaries like my state so Dems and Independents can help choose the candidate. That would make for the strongest nominee for the general election.
Lily, its not too early considering primaries begin in January. There is such focus on this because the media wants to steer the public away from the bad economy. I wouldnt expect a clear frontrunner at this point, but even the top tier of candidates is unstable and several candidates are entering the race or talking of entering near the deadline which is odd.
Answer: Because that's about how long their attention span is....including Romney.

How does Romney plan to debate Obama on health care and mandates?
I just cant see how this debate is going to take place. Obama is not going to hold back, he is going to unleash his dogs of war on Romney. No amount of Fox News lies is going to help Romney in a debate like that. So in my opinion Romney is unelectable. Yea he might win the primaries thanks to GOP bias but there is no way he is going to win over the independents and get votes from the left. After all the left already has Obama so why would they want a leftist Republican. The independents will probably stay home or vote for Obama.

Wheres the Republican Candidate? You need to run one to win ....dont you?
So far we have no contenders other than the disgraced former Republican Speaker who has publicly stated that they are looking into running. Never has a Republican taken this long to enter Presidential race. Could the problem be the terrible choices amongst them, or some other reason? Some like John Thune gave us an honest answer and said Obama is unbeatable and he decided not to run. 1/2 term Governor Chris Christie has been named as a candidate but in todays world of International upheaval and terrorism a person who just started as Governor is hardly the strong candidate one would think Republicans would have at this point in time. He has also stated firmly that he is not running.
Mitt Romney is not very well liked by Tea Baggers since he passed Universal Health Care in Massachusetts, quite a successful program that some say Tea Baggers do not like, as it shows Americans how good a government run health care plan actually can be.
Some say that since the new Tea Baggers are so far to the Fringe Right that whatever candidate they approve of will be unacceptable to the vast majority of Americans, do you agree?
One thing for sure that we can all agree on is you must have a strong candidate to run against Obama.
Anyone know of any Republican Moderate who has Tea Bagger backing that can go up against Obama? Polls are showing this lean towards the center. Will Republicans have a very difficult time finding an "acceptable" candidate for Republicans to vote for as well as Independents?
Answer: It will none the less be a puppet for the big Corporations anyway so the name does not matter.

A good case for Romney - he can get the independent voters AND conservatives > BEST GOP candidate?
Mr. Romney spent most of his career in the trenches of business, but he is also battle-tested in government. In 2002 he was elected governor of Massachusetts at a time when the state faced tremendous fiscal challenges. Despite taking office when there were just 23 Republicans in the 160 member House of Representatives and six Republicans in the 40 member Senate, he successfully restructured government programs, consolidated state services, reduced wasteful spending, and otherwise closed a $3 billion budget shortfall without raising taxes or borrowing from Wall Street.
What makes Mr. Romney most appealing as a candidate in a general election, however, is his ability to attract independent voters, which will be a key voting bloc in swing states.
As a Republican in Massachusetts, his election as governor was not a foregone conclusion. He defeated his Democratic opponent in one of the most liberal states in the country where Republicans comprised just 13% of voters. The bulk of voters (49%) were independents.
Mr. Romney has proven that he can appeal to a broad cross section of voters. Independents are especially tired of the business as usual polarization between Republicans and Democrats in Washington. Without the support of these more moderate voters, the Republican Party cannot expect to win the White House in 2012.
There is no perfect GOP candidate who will satisfy all Republicans. The challenge for the Republican Party is to see the forest for the trees. At a time when jobs and the economy will be the two overriding issues among voters, the focus in this presidential election will be who is best qualified to turn America around and get the economy back on track. That candidate is Mitt Romney.

Would you vote for Donald Trump if he ran as an independent?
Trump praises Perry, keeps open a possible run
By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press – 4 days ago
NEW YORK (AP) — Real estate mogul Donald Trump said Tuesday he expects Texas Gov. Rick Perry to do "very nicely" as a presidential candidate. But Trump stopped short of endorsing Perry and said he hasnt ruled out running for president himself as an independent.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Trump said Perry was a welcome entry in the GOP field that includes former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann. Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll Saturday, the same day Perry announced he too would seek the partys nomination to challenge President Barack Obama in 2012.
"I think Rick Perry is a real positive. Nobody can predict outcomes, but I think he will do very nicely," Trump said. "We need someone in this country who is willing to shake things up."
Trump, a multimillionaire reality show host, flirted publicly with joining the Republican presidential field before opting out of the race in May. He had gained considerable attention by stirring renewed controversy over President Barack Obamas Hawaii birth, leading the White House to persuade the state to release a copy of Obamas long-form birth certificate after two years of dismissing the issue.
On Tuesday, Trump said he would still consider running next year as an independent if he doesnt believe the candidate who wins the GOP nomination is strong enough to beat Obama. Trump said hed make a decision after the next season of his show, "Celebrity Apprentice," ends in June.
"I have an obligation. We have a tremendous following — millions of people who would like to see me run," Trump said.
Trump also defended Perrys suggestion Monday that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke would be committing a "treasonous" act if he pumped more money into the economy.
"It was a meaningless phrase, it was just rhetorical. Hes very emotional about how the country is doing," Trump said of Perry, pushing back on President George W. Bushs former political director Karl Rove and other Republicans who have criticized Perrys comment.
"Karl Rove is an empty hat," Trump said. "We ended up with Obama because of Karl Rove and George W. Bush."

Your story about dust regulation captures my interest, Mitt Romney said to the farmer, sounding as if he actually meant it. Would Paul fare better than Romney against Obama?
I personally think Paul would fare better than Romney, because Paul has something Romney doesnt and thats across the board appeal especially among independents and Democrats fed up with Obama. With a poor economy, and poor decisions by the Obama administration, the only thing Obama can hope for is a united Democratic and Independent base to propel him to victory.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that can take that any from him. Romney is too Conservative for Independents and Democratic and not conservative enough for those in his own party. Overall, I think Paul is a bigger threat to Obama than Romney. If he wins the nomination, he will have to have won over a majority of Independent and Democratic voters, and Obama is going to have a hard time getting them back.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that can that AWAY from him. Sorry, for the typo.
Answer: Age is cited so often..however..the greatest republican president ..and only GOP presidential candidate I voted for during my life time was
Ronald ReaganFebruary 6, 1911January 20, 198169 years, 349 days
That man was no where near as healthy as Dr. Ron Paul.
Yet Ronald Reagan made a fantastic president and attracted my vote.
In the same way...Ron Paul will draw away democratic voters. Now if GOP voters are upset at Ron Paul they can always vote democratic.
Poll results this early of Obama versus Ron Paul are way to early to tell much...most people still don't seriously consider Ron Paul ...partly due to the media.

Conservatism Will Attract Independents - The Rush Limbaugh Show
6 days ago ... They know that Romney can't get above 25 or 30%. ... So the independents are gonna be running back to people like Harry Reid who says ...
IF Harry Reid feels he is or in danger of losing majority post might he call up a DREAM Act vote(see below)?
Assumption: Harry Reid has lost control of Majority Leader since Republicans have taken over or
or if Romney wins or becomes nominee.
There are 51 democrats and 2 independents in the House.
If all 51 +2 vote yes provided
That the 5 democrats that voted against it last time are convinced to vote yes
*Ben Nelson voted no and is retiring,
*Tester voted no, but could be persuaded if legislation was passed that would keep illegal Canadians out of Montana,
*Max Baucus voted no and the same situation would apply as with Tester
*Kay Hagan switched her vote of yes to no at last minute so she could be likely to be convinced to switch back.
*Mark Pryor voted no and could be persuaded to vote yes if Bill Clinton can convince him too. He is from Arkansas.
*Joe Manchin did not vote last year and can be convinced to vote yes
So vote total is at 53.
There are 2 republicans who voted yes that are still in congress.
One won her reelection last year and the other has no opposition next year.
So that brings count to 55.
There are 3 republicans who did not vote last year.
So lets’ assume that Orrin Hatch and one other were to change mind that brings total to 57.
2 republicans are retiring and could be persuaded to vote yes.
Vote count is 59
60th vote cans be from Scott Brown, He is R and if he loses, He could decide that a vote of Dream Act will guarantee him democratic votes if he were to run against John Kerry or (see below)
If Obama wins it is said that Kerry will most likely be in cabinet. Preferably Secretary of State, it is likely that his replacement will be democrat but will soon have to face election, which brown will run in.
61st vote go be Olympia Snowe, she is one of the most moderate in senate and faces no opposition or serious opposition in her reelection bid
62nd vote could be Dean Heller of Nevada, who loses his reelection and votes yes to put him in serious contention going against Reid in 2016. Especially if Reid is not majority leader if republicans take over
63rd vote, Susan Collins, another moderate republican of US Senate, colleague of Olympia Snowe
64th vote, John Corynyn, senator from Texas, voted against it last year but in hearings this year he noted he could be likely for it if certain changes were made
65th vote. Lindsay Graham, senator from South Carolina said he could be for DREAM Act if comprehensive immigration reform was included in it.
66th vote, John McCain was one of the original sponsors and provided on how Supreme Court rules on Arizona immigration law could vote yes.
67th vote. Marco Rubio is a big toss up here, If he gets chosen as VP and if Romney loses, he could be persuaded to vote yes, provided it might mean more attention will get placed on Cuban refugees, etc
68th or beyond could be dependent on comprehensive immigration reform
Secure border measures
Other republican senators in north and along Canadian border could be persuaded to vote yes if immigration reforms also applied to their borders with Canada.
Supreme court ruling could lead other republicans to vote yes
Ones in AL, GA, AND SC.
Notes: Among the republicans mentioned as possibility, there will probably be a discussion of which republicans are likely to pick up democratic votes in their reelection
There will be discussions among each other as to who can most afford to vote yes and who can’t.
For sake of debate, lets assume that DREAM Act passes the House.
There will be lots of wrangling and compromising going on to see that it passes.
The vote takes place after election and Harry Reid will hold it before any new senators get sworn into senate right away.
Answer: President Obama 2012!!

Did you know that Ron Paul is the only one who can beat Obama?
"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way." ~Franklin D. Roosevelt
Time to face the facts. What the GOP fears most is what America needs most.
Neither Santorum nor Gingrich can win the Nomination for one simple reason. Neither of them can collect enough delegates to win the Nomination.
Neither man can be the nominee because neither one was able to get on enough states ballots to make a difference. (564 delegates that Newt cant win ), Same with Santorum (over 700 delegates he cant win ). And the media as well as the GOP is praying to god that the American people continue to remain ignorant of this fact for as long as possible while they try to come up with a strategy that will bury Ron Paul before Romney is forced to face him on stage alone and the commentators are no longer able to marginalize Paul by giving all the questions to everyone but him.
Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are the only two candidates that made it on the ballot in every state. Romney will not beat Obama, hes too similar except he will raise taxes on anyone making 40k a year or less in favor of giving himself lower taxes. Independents are going to run to Obama if Romney is the alternative.
It is a two man race between Ron Paul and Romney for the nomination.
It is also a two man race between Ron Paul and Obama for the White House.
Its time Conservatives and people with any functioning brain cells in their heads started backing the only real candidate that will beat Obama and save America. And whether you like it or not, that candidate is, by default, Ron Paul.
The facts cant be twisted to point in any other direction. The Delegates decide who gets the nomination and you cant get delegates if you arent on the ballots. It doesnt matter how much money gets pumped into your campaign by special interest groups. The facts are the facts.
IMPORTANT FACTS
Fact : Gingrich and Santorum cannot win the nomination no matter how much they get in " popular " votes.
Fact : Romney will fail epically against Obama in a general election.
Fact : Ron Paul will decimate Obama on his Foreign Policy stance alone. Add in his Economic and Defense policies ( All 3 of which were policies Obama ran on in 2008 and abandoned once he got in the White House so no one would be stupid enough to believe hes going to follow them in his second term ) and you have an un-beatable candidate in the general election who the bulk of the American people will vote for when they finally get a chance to see the man unfiltered and unbiased by the media.
America is broke and the average American is tired of hearing about another war on the horizon and seeing more dead soldiers coming home in coffins for no reason...all the while the freedoms they are dying to " protect " are being stripped away from us by our own government...one by one.
Obama has ‘0’ chance of beating Paul and Washington knows it. The GOP knows it. The corporations that own Washington know it too so they instruct the media outlets they own to hide it from you.
But now you know. Gingrich and Santorum are mathematically incapable of winning the Nomination and Romney cant beat Obama in the general election.
Ron Paul is the only choice we have. Its just nice that, for once, hes the RIGHT choice and not just the " lesser of two evils ". Stay in, Dont give in or up. Be diligent to take pictures and record the elections and exit polls if GOP wants it all in private, do what you can to secure the votes and post at watchthevote 2012 on facebook".
